			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have been doing a 21 day fast with my church. The fast started on Friday, January 2, 2009 and will end on Thursday, January 22, 2009. January 2nd - January 15th was vegetables, fruit and liquids. January 16th - January 22nd was liquids only. I&#8217;ve decided not to train with weights during the last week. Besides the spiritual benefits of fasting I&#8217;m curious about the physical benefits. Thus far,&nbsp; I have noticed that I have lost about 5 lbs, my abs have become more visible and my skin is clearer. I know fasting is not something we as people or bodybuilders want to do, but are there physical benefits to fasting? I&#8217;m curious to see if my body will respond better to supplements, food and weight training. Do you have any experience with fasting? What was the outcome? I would like to know your opinion.
