Not only in my workout, but in life in general. With the economy what it is, I have concerns about my job and that is affecting all aspects of my life (professional and personal). It is hard to commit to having a good time or a really focused workout when your brain constantly wanders back to all of the difficult issues at hand. I have been toughing my workouts through - but it has been a while since I have had one that was gut wrenching and sweaty like they need and deserve to be. Anyone with a helpful thought or comment is welcome to chime in.

Ok… it’s been like a month or so now. I just posted my third progress pic and couldn’t be happier. Of course there is still some fat to blast away, but at least this is telling me that my plan is working for now. It would seem that my diet works as I am trying to keep it reasonable at the same time as far as cost and good tasting stuff. My workout will be evolving but I think I have a handle on how to let it grow along with me!!

This weekend will almost a month of the new (post marathon) workout. I have been pretty good on the diet with only minor infractions *blush* but over all I am feeling good. This is probably the best overall shape I have been in and I am curious to see if I can pull of what I am trying to do. My weight is up 3-4 lbs on average but my waist seems to be a little slimmer. We’ll see I guess

I trained my a$$ off for this last Marathon to try to break the 4 hour mark. For the non-runners out there… the four hour mark is generally believed to be the dividing line between good runners and the rest of the non-pro pack. I ran over 440 miles in training not counting the race itself and brought it home today with a finishing time 3:52:48 at the Walt Disney World Marathon. I am very tired now (have been up since 2:30am) and a little sore, but have never felt better!! I wish everyone out there as much or more success with their goals!!!

Today was my last training run!! It was ony 8 miles as I have been tapering miles as the marathon approaches. This will be my thrid marathon but will be my best shot at a good time so far.. I have trained well and should come in around 3:45. I just ran 8 miles at a 7:58 per pace. I will slow a bit as the race goes on but should sill be under 4 hours for the whole thing!! 26.2 or bust!! I am physched… can’t wait!! Wish me luck whoever reads this!! I would like to hear from any other distance runners out there, especially if you are from my neck of the woods!!

Ok, well life conspired against me there for a while, but I am back on track and ready to go. First goal is to lean up a bit, and then add some mass from there.
