Decided to switch up the training style due to the limited amount of space I have in my new basement. I did my first set of strongman exercises and I gotta say it was ****in ridiculous. Most of the shit I did revolved around a barbell cap (screw off one of the ends of a barbell, put weights and a collar on it). Started off with stone lifts, moved on to rows gripping the end of the barbell cap, then rows gripping the plates, then some forearm exercises with dumbbells. My forearms are shot, my biceps feel like they’re going to burst, and my arms and stomach are pretty bruised up. I love it. I’m going to sprinkle these in weekly and see what type of mass and strength gains I can get. Now if only I could eat with the intensity I lift with…
I’ll continue posting the weight gains once my new scale comes in.

I recently moved to Allston and hadn’t worked out for 3 weeks until yesterday. Unfortunately the basement at my new place doesn’t have a high enough ceiling to house my cage. Additionally, there is shit everywhere and it’s a pain in the ****in ass to move around. Looks like I’m going to have to find a local gym which I’m not too excited about for a bunch of reasons: I hate lifting around people who aren’t serious about it, a one year membership costs about as much as the weight equipment I currently have which is more than enough, I can’t just barrel down the stairwell, blast my music, and lift in my old dungeon (dirt floors, stone walls and dank air are just more motivation), etc.
If anyone lives in the Allston area and has some suggestions for a decent gym close by, let me know.
