FOODSAVERS ![]()
Well we started today…. sort of! Today was part of the planning process to get us to our goals. Santa (my mom) bought us a foodsaver. I thought it was a pretty lame gift until I started using it.
We headed to the local Giant Eagle Market District to purchase the high protein low fat food that is going to transform my wife and I. So I grilled up 10 peices of chicken, 10 turkey burgers, 6 protein power pumpkin pancakes and some turkey taco meat and then VAC sealed them. This should be a great base of food for two weeks for us.
I am really confident that if we can prepare and plan like this every week, the nutrition stuff will be a breeze.
My thanks to bwestgat for his blog and some encouragement. If you are looking for some guidance this guy is the real deal.
Big party on NYE at our friends tommorow, it’s our last hurrah and then can’t wait to get down to business on Tuesday.
stay tuned….

Hey Thanks man! My back will feel better in the next few days. As I get into better shape my injury tends to heal a lot faster. When I was more out of shape it usually took at least 2 weeks. Once I lost all the wieght I find the injury usualy only lasts 2 or 3 days. I’ll see how I feel tomorrow and try to do a good chest ricep routine concentrating solely on form.
Neat contraption you have there. Sounds like you and your wife are on the right road. Make sure you have some variablitiy in your nutrition as well as your workout. I’ll keep posting some recipes for everyone. Again I definately find a few good resipes in Eating for life. Check it out. A good meal to have between breakfast and lunch or between lunch and dinner is:
A single serving non fat yogurt, mix with about the same amount of no fat cottage cheese, add some cut up grapes, pear or apple. stir and eat. Very delicious. I am not a cottgae cheese fan but this meal rocks. Good luck.
