I have just being reading up on high intensity interval training or (HIIT),
Although i have being doing interval training to an extent it is nothing like this,It has had a lot of good reviews and seems to get results.
While the weight has being dropping slowley with the cardio i have being doing, along with cleaning up my eating
it seems that doing this type of cardio provided done right will speed up the ability to torch fat which of course is what i am looking for,
So watch this space as i look to reap the results and post them on here each week

Went out yesterday with a few mates, first time we had all being out together for about 6 mths,
all out to watch the rugby in the pub,it was the first time i had had a beer for around 4 mths, and to tell you the truth didn’t even miss it.
Today i have paid for it with the usual over indulgence,.
The rest of the guys i was out with all enjoy the odd beer in the house where i can’t be bothered with it,all day i have felt guilty and pissed off with myself after having a pretty good wk in the gym last week to through it all away with a day of boozing.
The way i am thinking at the moment is that since i have cleaned up my diet working out hard it might be time to throw away the drinking,i don’t miss it and already know that i can go out for the night and have a good time without drink.
so watch this space!!

Awsome day today, felt good going into my workout today.
entered the gym with the music pumping on the i-pod and focused.
Cained out a pb on the deadlifts 210kgs for one rep,was really stocked, looking towards monday now to try and set a new pb on the bench,
still have a small concern over doing this as still not 100% sure how far to go with having really had a bad injury with my sternum.
Have worked hard to strengthen chest up again and have done things slowly with it,so really want to test it.
Will still be pumped after todays effort that will proberly do it on addrenerline alone so watch this space.
Still pumped with todays efforts, just shoes that my hard work is paying off.

Here’s a question to all the wise out there,
Which is the better?
A mate of mine swears by his crossfit training and as such you can see the work paying off for him .
While myself i am an avid straight weights and cardio guy, although am tempted to give it a go ,just to see what all his hypes about.
He has laid down the challenge of doing the crossfit training for a couple of wks as he thinks ii will enjoy it and change.
Just wondering what the thoughts of you guys out there would be .

At the moment i’m doing cardio 3 times a week.
Monday i do interval training 35mins 1 min work/2 mins working rest.
Wednesday i do a steady paced run on treadmill for 40 mins
Friday same as monday.
I have only recently started this as all 3 days were just a steady run,but wanted to make it a bit more intense.
I am trying to lose body fat so thought making it more intense would work better.
Any thoughts on this,What do most people do for their cardio?

I dropped the weight on my squats today as my knees have played up the past couple of weeks.
I found it to actually be a good thing as i managed to get a deeper squat and a better burn on my legs,I always thought that i took them deep enough as it always took me around 2 days to recover.
But today i could feel it hit them alot more and was really working on the drive to get back up,so hopefully this will help to add some good size and strength to my legs.

Over the years of playing rugby my knees have taken a battering,i have damaged both medial ligaments ,
Although they don’t bug me all the time when they do its a pain.
Today struggled to go right down for squats and was wondering if using these would take some pressure off my knees to allow me to get full squats and add weights,
they are not quite ready for surgery yet.
any advice on this ??
