No matter how i train them they don’t seem to respond,i work on them twice a week at the moment looking to make it three.

Am starting to get a bit frustrated,

at present i am doing seated barbell calf raises 2 sets 20 reps, calf press on leg press machine 2 sets 20 reps with 2 sets 20 standing bodyweight calf raises.

can any body out there throw some pointers or advice my way.

You have to really hit the hard, meaning massive weight but then they need a full week to grow and repair. If you read thenaturalone’s blog it goes into more detail, but the muscles grow when resting as I’m sure you know. We damage them with the weights, doing heavy weight to failure, then rest them. If you really tear them down the may literally need a full week to get back from deficit. Training any body part 3 times a week will be overtraining for anyone not on juice. Try it a couple weeks like that and I’m sure you’ll start to like what you see. Good Luck and keep working at it.

Anytime. Just glad to help. I got a lot of information from research and a whole lot of input from a guy on a messageboard, so I’m just trying to pay it forward.
