Hey bud...the sodas are adding a lot of calories in the form of simple sugars, which make your insulin spike, which will contribute to bodyfat.

I used to drink (I kid you not) a half-case of Mountain Dew every day. One day I simply decided to stop and I had the WORST headache for two days straight. It might not be a good thing to quit cold turkey, so I'll recommend dropping one can of soda every 2-3 days until you are off of it so that your body can adjust.

If you absolutely need soda, I recommend drinking caffeine-free diet Coke. Yes, it tastes like ass, but it'll give you a soda-fix while sparing you the calories and caffeine. Also, you should check out soda-alternatives like Fresca. I hated it as first, but there's almost nothing in it and the taste grows on you...that is, if you absolutely have to drink a carbonated beverage.

Good luck!

yes, i agree with light_v2: go to www.sweetleaf.com and order yourself some stevia. it is twice as sweet so you can you less but it is NOT a sugar substitute. it is all natural from a plant, which of course the fda has limited our attention to it. it has 0 carbs, 0 calories, etc.

I had this same issue a few years ago- I basically just quit cold turkey...it sucked cause I got headaches all the time, but black coffee is a great substitute if you feel that you absolutely need some caffeine! :)

are you drinking at least a gallon of water a day? if not you should start that habit, it will help you...and the soda/caffeine and sugar products...hmmm...you are probably craving those things for energy in the mornings, so to replace them you could try a tablespoon of virgin coconut oil...it gives you energy and is healthy for you...when I was doing that I lost my morning craving for coffee and didn't need any sugar/caffeine!
