Anyone have any good tips on how to cut or decrease the amount of carbs per day. Just tallied up for this week and I am averaging 160-170 per day. What is the right amount?

There is no right amount. I follow a carb cycle and try to keep my daily carbs as low as possible. People react differently to carbs so the amount that you need depend on your goals and how your body reacts. It seems in our American diet everything is wrapped in bread. It’s difficult, but making an effort to avoid bread whenever possible has helped me a great deal.
If you are looking to get cut, I would think about changing WHICH carbs yoiu take in first, then reduce the quantity. Brown rice, sweet potatoes, fruits, etc. Cut out the crappy carbs and see where that gets you.
If you want to add mass, you might need to increase carb intake after switching to better carbs.
There is no real right and wrong, it’s kind of a person to person thing when it comes to percentages and ratios of protein/carbs/fat. I tried the 40/40/20 thing and I got soft. Upped the protein AND carbs and lowered the fat and I lost weight and body fat. THe key is paying attention to what you are eating and what it does to YOUR body.
