Ok, i had never measured my bodyfat before, but since im gonna bulk for a few months i thought i should get a measurement before i started. Well, near as i can tell im very close to 7%! That is probably slightly lower than i would have guessed, but i will take it. It will be interesting to watch it climb a bit as i bulk. I have stayed rather trim this summer as it was summer and, hell, gotta look good in the summer with the shirt off right?
So, starting my bulk at 172 lbs and slightly above 7% body fat. I am guessing i can put on 10-17 solid lbs in 4 months and hopefully not shoot the bodyfat through the roof. I will, of course, cut that shit off before next summer rolls around. Gotta look pretty… ha ha

I have trying to decide what my next plan of action should be. I have tried to stay somewhat cut over the summer months, but feel like i want to add more mass. But, dont want to lose definition while its still nice out and Im at the pool, lake etc. Well, Im heading to vegas in a few weeks, so ive decided to do a mini cardio free cut for about 3 weeks so its all good at the pool when i get there.. ; )
On a side note, i hadnt done deads for a bit and decided i have to do em to get some back mass/defintion. So I went what i thought was pretty light yesterday and f$%# im feeling it today… I guess that is good. Probably didnt help that i went and got half drunk last night so im a little dehydrated today.. Oh well, if its sore thats good!

So, been cutting for about 6 weeks. Like the results ive seen as the bodyfat has definitely dropped and can see some of those underlying muscles… I have never measured bf, and so not sure how much ive dropped, but did drop about 11 lbs so far. I basically have been eating very clean, added some cardio back into my workout plan and added Universal Animal Cuts to my regular lifting schedule. I plan on continuing the cut for just another 2 weeks before regulating my calorie intake back up a little to slowly add some mass. Not gonna bulk by any means, but see if i can make some slow steady muscle gains..
Overall very pleased with the results… Maybe get more scientific with results in the future…

This is the schedule I have followed (generally) for the past 6 weeks. I have a list of about 10-15 exercises for each bodypart and I mix up which ones I use one week vs. the next.
Monday–Chest
Tuesday–Back
Wednesday–Legs
Thursday–OFF or some abs
Friday–Bicip, Tricep
Saturday–Shoulders, Traps
Sunday–Off or abs, calves
I have almost totally cut out cardio for the last couple months. Dont miss that much, but will put it back in in a couple weeks when I start to cut. I read an article in Muscle and Fitness (feb i think) about a 6 week cut program. Looked good to me and since Im new to all this that will be my rough guideline. Looking forward to it.

Okay, been trying to add some quality mass for 2+ months. For some reason bulking seems hard for me. I would think it would be easy, just eat more and eat more often.. Well, about 10 lbs later I am thinking I have about 2 more weeks and then time to get rid of anything that isnt "muscle" mass. Slim down for summer. Dont know how many lbs that will be as I am more of a look in the mirror for results type of guy.. Pretty new to all of this.. So it will be my first official "cut".
Will be pretty serious about diet etc for at least 2 months and see where i am at then. So, two more weeks of my "bulk" and then hope to be in decent swimsuit shape by the end of May. Thought I would write this out and track my progress. Never been good at that whole write out your goals so they will come true thing, but no time like the present to start…
