Monday March 4

Today would have been my cat Toto's 38th birthday! :-) Is it strange that I remember this from when I was 5?! My Grand Deane (grandmother) died 38 years ago tomorrow. I remember that too!!

Anyhow!! Shoulder day! Start of a new week! TADA!!! I am also very pleased to say that I got through all of last week with my meal plan!! And today is working right on track :-)

Shoulders
2 warm up sets - 15 reps - 30lb BB press
4 sets - 8 reps
2 @ 5lb, 2 @ 7.5lb DB front raise (first set done with cable - too crowded so I switched)
7.5lb DB side raise
10lb DB rear delt raise
25lb DB seated press - yeah baby!!! 25lb!!
20 minutes step mill level 6 / 7

Did alot of running around this morning, walked through the stupid mall twice looking for a store, and am now doing this and food prep. Alot more food prep to go but 2 batches of chicken are cooking at the moment, flank to cut up and bag and beefkey meatballs to make. The steak I'll get cut today but the meatballs will be tomorrow I think. I'd like nothing more right now than a nap!!

Something else I've been wanting to sort of document since I think - "THINK" - I might finally have a food plan I can stick to is progress of how my body feels. My skin feel tight, my jelly belly feels REALLY jello like, very squishy and loose, but the skin tight. Weird I know!! My legs feel tight and so do my arms and chest.

Kickboxing tonight, likely alot of review since I'm grading finally on Wednesday. I should have just graded with everyone else instead of being nice and waiting cause one of other team moms couldn't do it then. We've had to re-schedule it 3 times since then!! I want my blue belt!! lol

Friday March 1

Well food yesterday was perfect minus Chaz and Sensei Mike stealing some of my perfect 6oz of chicken!! But I did it! Day 3 well underway and on track to be perfect again. That's all I can hope for is that I can be consistant with the food. It is my biggest problem

No gym this morning..too sore. Kickboxing this morning was great and I'm headed to the studio now for some elliptical time and maybe MMA class at 5pm. I am skipping chest and back weights though I might cave and do some supersets tomorrow at the studio.

It's now 9:25pm and I'm really sore all over!! Hurts to stand, sit, walk!! lol I did 20 minutes of steady easy cardio on the elliptical at the studio, ate my afternoon snack and then got roped into the family class at the studio and did an hour of skipping, jiu-jitsu and punching!

I is exhausted!! Going to nappy time now!

Thursday February 28

Yesterday's food came off without a hitch!!! Nailed it!! I didn't eat meal 6 cause I was still working on meal 5. And I made it to kickboxing class last night too. 2 - 4 minute rounds with a 2 minute break to switch gloves, a 5 minute cardio burn and 2 more 4 minute rounds It was a good half hour!!

Leg day today to catch up from yesterday
2 warm up sets - 15 reps - 65lb BB squats
4 sets - 8 reps
105lb BB squat
135lb BB stiff legged dead lift
30lb seated calf raise
120lb leg extension - I could go higher :-)
250lb incline leg press
20 reps - standing calf raise
20 minutes treadmill - 3.8mph
20 minutes stretch and roll

Jiu-jitsu class tonight and my kickboxing grading tomorrow night. Reminder to me
I will developed myself in a positive manner and avoid anything that would reduce my mental growth or physical health
I will develop self discipline in order to bring out the best in myself and others
I will use what I learn in class constructively and defensively to help myself and my fellow man and to never be abusive or offensive.
I have to know the above to pass my grading! lol Figured if I typed it out again it would help me remember it

I added a shake this morning to my pre-workout since I wasn't getting to the gym in my normal 20 minutes. Started my truck, made my shake, took the dog out and drank it, gathered my bag up and headed out only to have to turn around and take a different route. Stupid road doesn't have an ounce of salt down so I wasn't chancing the hill again and ditching my truck!

3:45am - chocolate protein, 2 glutamine, 1 cup water shake
4:15am - 2 BCAA's with 3 cups water
7:15am - 2 eggs, 3 egg whites, all hard boiled and 2 slices of sprouted grain bread with a T of butter split between both slices
Planned
10:30am - apple, banana and handful of almonds
1:45pm - 5oz chicken, 1 cup broccoli, 1/2 cup rice
5pm - tuna, cucumber and romaine
8:15pm - 6oz chicken and big salad with 2T sweet onion dressing

That works out pretty good. It's 3 1/4 hrs between meals and timing wise for my day it's really good. And it means I've moved meal 6 to pre-workout. I should double check with Paul but I think it looks pretty good.

Got an hour of jiu-jitsu tonight too.

Food yesterday was great until dinner out with the girls!! Big bacon cheeseburger and fries that were awesome and a chocolate milkshake that wasn't worth the calories.

Getting my truck back this morning FINALLY!!! I hate this 2012 Z71 piece of crap!!! Gimme back my MegaCab Hemi!!! I miss my truck :-(

Monday February 25

Well my trainer Paul came out yesterday and we decided it's time to change it up!! Thank goodness!!! I'm starting to miss boring cardio! lol

New plan
1 body part / day - 5 days weight training - still heavy weight low reps
steady cardio 3 days a week - 20 minutes at a nice easy pace - preferably the step mill
Food - 5x a day and he's gonna send me a meal plan. 5 days clean clean, 2 days / 2 meals each day I can eat what I want

Shoulders / Cardio
2 warm up sets - 14 reps - 30lb BB overhead press
4 sets - 8 reps
5lb cable front raise
7.5lb DB side raise
10lb DB rear delt raise (7.5lb DB for last set)
20lb DB seated overhead press (2 sets @ 25lb)
20 minutes step mill - 55 steps / min
20 minutes lame stretch and roll

4:30am - 1/2 extra lean burger patty and a banana
5am - 2 scoops BCAA and 3 cups water
6:30am - scoop protein, scoop of glutamine and 1 cup water
7:30am - 4 egg omelet - 2 yolks
On tap, chicken, yams, broccoli, celery, salad and I think more chicken! lol

Saturday February 23

Still clean!!! Not sure how Saturday is going to go because we're at a tournament 2 hours from home so I'm packing as best I can.

Friday was a busy busy day!!

Kickboxing for an hour in the am - great cardio and working class!! Left there and went to the gym for leg day.
3 drop sets - 12 - 10 - 8 reps
65 - 85 - 105lb BB squats
10 - 20 - 30lb seated calf raises
40 - 50 - 60lb BB front squat
150 - 200 - 250lb incline leg press
95 - 105 - 125lb standing calf raises
85 - 100 - 115lb leg extension

I bailed on the stretching and rolling and the little bit of cardio I wanted to do cause of time. Had to be at physio by 12:45pm and it was already noon when I finished.

Physio was fun - Dr Taz is evil!!! My hip feels better and my left hand and wrist feel 100% better!! i can hold a cup now!!! WAHOO!!!

Food was clean, still likely not enough so I gotta work on that but clean now 4 days I think!! Sunday will be a dinner with friends but I'm making it. I have the worst craving for meatloaf!! lol Meatloaf, white mashed tatos and food group gravy!! OH and Sami's turnip casserole thing. I'm also gonna make some nice clean pumpkin muffins for dessert. Gonna have something clean in there! lol

And bonus...I think I made it through the day clean!!!

Tuesday February 12

Well training of all sorts is cancelled this week. On my way to the gym yesterday morning I did some 360's down the mountain access road and damaged up my truck a bit. I'm ****ght, but I'm sore across my back and neck. My airbags didn't go off so the hits weren't too bad, it was deep snow banks I kept hitting but I hit them with enough force to throw a transport tire outta the back of my truck and ding up both bumpers. Not sure about the suspension and undercarriage as they both would have taken the brunt of the hits. I should find that damage report out tomorrow.

In the meantime I'm heading to the doc's this aft for a quick look and going to physio tomorrow morning. I just feel like I need a really good crack. I am however going to try to restrict myself and not do my classes or weight training. I needed a shower yesterday morning so I went ahead and went to the gym and just did a quick superset of shoulders and legs, just 2 sets 8 reps. Whatever I did with my legs must have been REALLY effective - quads HURT!!!! lol

Right now, I would just really love a nap!! Gotta go see the doc!!

Saturday February 9

Well it's Saturday morning and I hurt like no tomorrow. My left wrist is really toast - hurts real bad!!! Add to that I think my sciatica is pinching. I need to get to Dr Taz and get it straightened out ASAP. I am not going to have it go completely.

Yesterday was hours of endless shovelling :-( I HATE SNOW!!! Workout yesterday was shovelling.

Today is gonna be clean cause I've got to get it on a slightly better track. It hasn't been bad but it hasn't been great either. I also made some really good Twix bars!! OMG !!! Almond meal, agave nectar, medjool dates and almond butter...so delish.

I am also aiming to start my "home schooling" tomorrow. My goal is to spend 2 hours a day studying for my CPTN personal training course and hopefully another hour with my PN home nutrition course. Oh and I have to get in gear and start applying for jobs :-( BOOOOO!!! I somehow haven't had a relaxing day at home in the last 2 weeks since I quit work..go figure. I'm always busy running here and there and trying to get half-assessment caught up nothings at home. I just seem to have no time. Hence my goal

Seems I've missed a few days Thursday did indeed become a rest day minus of course jiu-jitsu at night. Can't miss that! Friday also ended up with no weights as I had to take hubby to pick up his rig. FINALLY!!! My whole first week not working was spent with him home driving me nuts. But I had to do half of the competition team and then I did the MMA class. Saturday it was fight class for an hour and then out for errands and the strip joint at night

Eats have actually been pretty good and much cleaner than usual. Yippee!! Birthday cake this week for me - actually cheesecake / fudge brownie batter ice cream pie stuffed with peanut butter cups!!! Oh I can't wait!!

Must run - kickboxing class in 10 minutes

Sunday December 2

So disappointed in myself for not getting things on back on track!! :-( This crud that's floating between my sinuses, my throat and my chest has not been fun and it goes away and I feel great and 12 hours later aIl I want to do is curl up in bed!! My sleeping is off and I think that's because of not getting myself to the gym. :-( Literally my insomnia is back!! All because I am not getting up and going to the gym, instead I am staying up a bit later and waking up at 1am, staying awake for a couple of hours and falling back asleep by 4am. It's horrible!! I feel horrible!! I only made it to the gym 1 day last week. ONE!!! ONE!!! I made it to jiu-jitsu and kickboxing from Wed - Fri.

Food has been a whole other issue and sadly it isn't looking any better than my gym time. I've really just been eating to eat not eating to fuel. And I'm outta my favourite protein which means I'm going to have to settle for hubby's until next week - BLEECK!!!

I'm at work today - walked in the door took one look at my baker and wanted to punch him in the face!! Terrible that that is my first thought! I can't even look at him he irritates me so much!!! GRRRR!! Then add in stupid customers on a rainy day which makes them WORSE!!! Heaven forbid you open your window!!! You are NOT made of sugar and will NOT melt if the rain hits you!!!

Food today is going to try to get back to clean - might not be the right portion but I've got to start somehwhere!!
6:30am - 4 HB egg whites, 8 raspberries and 1/4 cup Kashi Go Lean Crunch
9:30am - can of tuna with too much cucumber dressing, 2 white cheddar rice cakes, Activia yogurt and some cocoa almonds
12:30pm - 4oz death by curry chicken, 1/2 slice multigrain bread, 4 crackers, 1 more rice cake and 2 celery stalks with roasted garlic hummus

I'm also up to 6 cups of water!! Back in a bit

4pm - cup of shredded sweet tato and 3oz chicken and done 3 more cups of water

Dinner when I get home after 7pm is gonna be green salad with Sweet Onion dressing and 3oz flank
