great song for leg day!!

i had a great leg workout today. really intense. i get such a good pump, i love it.
i’ve been decreasing my protein (i was eating 200g/day when i was "bulking" and trying to put on some muscle) now i’m keeping it to about 150g, minimal fibrous carbs and moderate fats. i think my calories are good at this level, i dont feel deprived or starving. i have to send my brother pictures on sunday so he can gauge my progress while i’m up here at school. gotta love the older brothers.
i’ve been taking GABA at night and its great. it supposedly increased your levels of HGH, and i’ll do anything to get my GH up "naturally". it helps me get to sleep early and i feel really good in the morning, i can actually get up at 7am.
i’m absolutely obsessed with my "protein ice cream"–vanilla protein powder blended with jello sugar free pudding mix, ice added, and frozen. delicious. i know the jello mix is kind of fake and not "clean" but with 18g of protein per serving (i figure these things out), its awesome. and much better than eating dlites or low carb ice cream (empty calories).

time for bed so i can go do cardio in the morning!

i love that quote–very inspirational and get-off-your-ass-ish. so i’d been slacking on my morning cardio because my apartment’s gym is kind of crappy and i’ll go for like 20 mins and be like "screw this i’m hungry." so yesterday i bought a decal so i can park on campus and go to the school gym early in the morning and not have to get annoyed by the fact that otherwise i’d have to take the bus which costs like 30 minutes of my time that could be spent climbing up the stepmill. today is day two that i’ve done an hour of cardio before breakfast and i’m super-motivated. i mean, don’t get me wrong, when i can’t do morning cardio, i make up for it in the evening, after my workouts (yes, even leg workouts) but now i can do both…

i had an awesome shoulder workout last night. i’m really digging the veins that pop out and my shoulders look really round and are starting to show nicely. i’m so proud of my lateral raises with 15 lb dumbbells–especially when the little twerpy frat boys are doing the same weight as me (sans the good form that i have).

i’m kind of doing a targeted keto diet right now–no carbs except the minimal amt in veggies and a few grams before/after my hard workouts. i can tell that my muscles get really fatigued, even during cardio but its okay…thats what lots of water and stimulants are for–to keep me going through the pain!!

i definitely think i’ve put on some muscle in the past few weeks and its a little discouraging because the number on the scale has gone up. but i’m going to tighten up my diet, increase my cardio and make sure i’m doing everything to make sure i lose fat as well as gain muscle. i’m probably going to get my bodyfat tested one day this week just to know where i stand.
