My quest to make physical changes has more truly been a change to my mentality. I always wanted a beautiful physique as an end result but as I am progressing to really achieve it what I have learned is that the physique is not really the goal - it is truly the by product in a change of lifestyle and thinking. It is the result of taking charge of everyday actions and controlling your decisions - thinking about minor things taht most are just doing on autopilot.
These changes happen inside you first rather than outside. The outside lags but still the outisde changes become your reward and your badge of honor for taking control of your decisions, planning your time, meals, activities etc. Possibly this could be why there are many attempts by many people to make a change to their body but what they do is some uncalculated activity be it eating differently or adding physical activity then see little or no immediate result and either don’t continue their efforts or don’t actually focus in on the math they should be doing:
Cals eaten vs. Cals burned
Increased resistance or stimulation to grow a muscle
They quickly then give up and never realize their goal.
I come to these thoughts as I continue to increase my weight training and intensity, Dial in on my nutrition and keep a calorie deficit while not seeing a major change physical but absolutely have a complete change to thinking and lifestyle. Maybe this is why BS, BB.com attracts so many people who then become successful with their physical goals because it keeps this on the brain - you start to live it.
So while I slowly change my outside appearance I have more quickly altered my mental state of being, my thought process and my everyday life and those changes, I believe may be the more important ones.

So - as the saying goes "we are a product of our environment" therefore choose your environment wisely. By default the american environment is an unhealthy one. We are surrounded by convenient, unhealthy ways of life which include fast food, chemically engineered foods, exercise avoidance mechanisms (like a car, home delivery of whatever, tv and even the internet which allows all our fats asses - maybe not bodyspace peeps - sit here all day and practically not burn a damn calories) THE RESULT- 35% of the US population is overweight (sorry the # might not be completely accurate but it is one that has been report in studies and the news repeatedly).
To make a difference your own life you just need to choose your environment - like bodyspace or the park or the gym.
The US pop is 35% overweight but 100% of the entire population has FREE WILL and the power to decide if they will sit in front of the tv today or get their asses up and move. They can choose to put high-fat high calorie foods in the mouth all da long or to eat a properly balanced diet. It is so easy to not make a smart decision so all anyone needs to do is use their brain and their body.
We can also choose to go to the store and buy a size 12 bathing suit or a size 4. The difference really is looking your best and feeling your best each day. I will choose to fight against the mainstream and feel good and look good.

So I am getting into a routine - yay and now I am really starting to realize that I will HAVE to do cardio - my mind always plays tricks so I was trying to avoid it by telling myself I should see a huge result from the healthy eating and weights. I have convinced my husband to give me a boxing workout - he said he would even do it during the Lakers game - well maybe just half time. But I know I need more, I have the oversized mommy belly with ass and thighs to match - time to downsize. So I will figure how to fit in. Likely, if I can convince myself I will do it for a little in the am, after training at lunch time and evenings when the kiddies are sleeping. So we will see how this goes.
I have a few pics I took today, figured it would be good to do since most people on here that continue to post pics are improving. And for me the first set of befores committed me so now knowing I will update those I have got my ass down to work.
So off to get the kids now …… if you read this wish me luck on evicting my fat (doing my cardio)
