So this week has been interesting. Poor kiddo had to go to the doctor on Monday for an abscess and get it popped and on Tuesday he got his adenoids removed. Monday I did my cardio: 20min hard intervals, 2min hard, 1min recovery

Tuesday: no workout

Wednesday: decided to do something different this week to shake things up, I worked legs, but only bodyweight, but 50 reps for 3 sets of 4 different exercises, can you say: burn? With some ss cardio in between:

10min on treadmill, 10min on ellpictical, 10min on rbike, finished with 15min on treadmill

squats feet together:bwx50×3

lunges: bwx50×3

sumo squats: bwx50×3

calf raises: bwx50×3

Later I did 20min hard intervals on treadmill, hard run for 2min, 1min recovery

Today I did back, but only 35 reps per set, my shoulder would give out and be useless for chest day tommorow if I did 50 with all this darn rain.

Cardio in between, broken into 10min segments, all on treadmill for 40minutes

supine pullups: bwx35×3

T’s on floor: bwx35×3

supine chinups: bwx35×3

back ext off of ab bench: bwx35×3

Later I did 20min hard intervals on rbike, 2min hard, 1min recovery

Rainy here, I miss the nice weather. My kiddo seems to be doing ok, his throat hurts when he swallows. He was too cute after taking some meds to relax him prior to surgery, it was like he was stoned, I couldn’t help but laugh at him, which he found funny.

 

My legs hate me today

I woke up today with DOMS in them and was surprised, usually if I get DOMS its usually 2 days after a workout. Last time I lifted with legs was Tuesday so why oh why were they sore today???

The crazy intervals I’ve done the past 2 days on the treadmill. 2min hard run, 1min recovery that is why they are sore today, so I gave them a break from those intervals but I still punished them with lifting.

Beautiful here, so my yard and I have a date, mowing it that is, still a little cool, only 64 for laying out and I so outgrew that when I hit my 20s, I can not believe I use to be able to lay out for 2 hours and do nothing as a teen, I get antsy if I just sit outside for 5minutes, lol.

I’m a fidgeter, which is good, I’m burning calories when I fidget, lol.

Tommorow is baseball practice and a cub scout hike of 2miles in the afternoon, suppose to be 80 tommorow, I love warm weather, I come alive in warm weather, when its cold I’m like a slug that growls. Yes I growl in cold weather or when someone has the nerve to try and bum a piece of my gum, its my gum and I do not like sharing it. Its extra pear berry gum and yes I’m addicted to it, and don’t ask me for a piece I’ll probably growl at you.

 

What’s holding you back?

I’m sure most of us could come up with an excuse; "I’m busy. It takes time away from my family. I don’t feel well. I’m tired. I look stupid working out, people make fun of me. I’ll never be skinny."

Excuses that all say what’s holding you back is: YOU. No one else. Yes once in a while you’ll be sick but that’s no excuse to not get back to working out when you feel better. Yes you’re busy, but you know what? So is everyone else, so are those people who you look at and say to yourself "They’ve always looked like that"

Now some of them might have, but 9 times out of 10 they haven’t, they have made time for themselves. Yes it cuts into family time, but you’ll feel better, in turn you’ll be a better significant other, spouse, Mother, Father, son, daughter, you name it. Why will you be better? Because you took care of yourself, you’re making yourself healthy so you’ll always be there for your family.

As for looking stupid when working out, trust me no one is judging you if they are serious about their workouts and everyone starts somewhere. I know when I started lifting weights I thought I was the bomb using 8lb dumbbells, now I can move 33lb dumbbells no problem. We are start out somewhere, no one is instantly strong, it takes time to build muscle.

As for being skinny? Who wants to be that? I want to be firm, with only a slight jiggle in the right areas. Skinny brings to mind bony, and I want muscles not to be a skelton.

Its gorgeous here, means outside playing time with the kiddo after homework, plus baseball practice. Hope its sunny and gorgeous wherever you are.

Butt cleavage and Man boobs

So in my activities yesterday I got to experience both, up close and personal. And no it was not a plumber working on my sink. In fact the Man Boobs I saw when I picking up my son. The guy had some nice boobs, and basically needed a bra. I felt bad for him.

They jiggled when he walked like normal braless boobs. It was hard not to stare at his man boobs. I had to keep telling myself to stop. I felt like a guy, oogling some woman’s boobs, only I’m a woman and he was the guy.

The Butt Cleavage, I got a double dose of, while at a meeting for one of my sons activities. Two women, sitting side by side with their butt boobs hanging out. My hubby laughs at me when I say, I must have a shirt on long enough so my underwear does not hang out because all my jeans are low riders. I love my low rise jeans, I will never go back to jeans that go up to my belly button and make me feel like a cow. Alas, manufacturers insist on making nice looking women’s shirts that do not go all the way down to meet my low rise jeans.

NOw standing that is not an issue, but when one sits, your bootay hangs out and shows the world your underwear or lack of underwear. Alas neither woman in question had underwear on. Its like going by a car wreck and knowing you shouldn’t stare but you can’t help yourself. I was just grateful my son had to sit with his fellow members and not right next to me. I could just hear him "Mommy their butts are sticking out and they’re not wearing underwear"

Nothing wrong with going commando as long as we all don’t know you’re going commando.

Anyhow I did legs yesterday:

squats, sumo squats, squats w/feet together, squats with my feet like a penguin, calf raises(toes in, straight, out) and lunges, 20min Spring intervals

Today I did chest:

circuits

db bench press w/flys

db incline press w/ incline flys

db decline press w/decline flys

db pec dec/w pushups w/hands on bosu

25min ss hills, 20min sprint intervals

Really tried to push with the sprints after watching Jillian have her team do 2min hard intervals, 1min easy, I can do 8mph fine at 2mph, and can just barely last doing 9mph for 2min.

I’m not a runner unless my life depended on it. I do not love running except for how high it makes my heart rate go.

It was evident last night that Bob’s team is not eating enough food, after their food journal especially. 2oz of fish???? Hello! We’re building muscle here, not starving it, probably why Christin gained a pound.

You have to eat, good quality and quantiy food to build muscle.

 

Ballgames, Chilli and a death

That was my weekend. 2 ballgames on Saturday, one in the morning, one in the late afternoon, both games my little guy hit the ball, he was so proud of himself and I was of him too for trying his best.

Sunday my hubby made his chilli, nice and spicy they way I like it, the hotter the better baby, just don’t come around us when we eat it, let’s just say its a little smelly after we eat it, lol. Sunday night they killed my favorite character off of Desperate Housewives, Edie Brit. I loved her, she told it like it was and lived life to the fullest, so no more watching it for me, she was the only reason I watched it, everyone else is boooooooooorrrrrrrrinnnng!

Today was my cardio only day, I was on a mission

20min HIIT on rbike: 512 calories burned! My quads were on fire, and I smelled bad due to all the sweat.

 

For good measure later I did 45min ss cardio on my treadmill with hills, anything to help my glutes. One thing Nicollete Sheridan has(she played Edie) is an awesome ass so in that’s my goal to have an Edie Brit Ass!!

 

Today we are supposed to have ball practice but it is rainy and dreary here, no rain right now so if we have practice the field will be a mess and my kiddo will need a good scrubbing. Tommorow I am setting my alarm to get my Edie Brit Ass in the making up to get some early cardio done.

I was wiped out after my weight workout, heck just walking on a hill after killed me. Hopefully I built some nice muscle today.

Hopefully this weekend is awesome weather wise and the kiddo and I get out on our bikes. Can’t believe how close summer is!

Back day, not bootay day, but damn I love that song, and my son can sing part of it too, and he’s in 1st grade. 

My goal for my back has been to have on that looks like LInda Hamilton’s did in Terminator 2 and mine is shaping up nicely. speaking of Terminator, I watched the show this year the Sara Conner Chronicles and was pleasantly surprised. Leana Headley is no LInda Hamilton’s Sara Conner but she does ok and she looks like she has muscle not a wimpy size double zero actress.

Anyhow I digress I was talking about my back and got started on Terminator(which comes out May 21st!!)

Its sunny here!!! Windy though. Have to buy my pool membership this month before they jack up the prices, I’ve been really good, only one new bikini so far, I can go over 2 weeks without wearing the same suit. My hubby was telling me I should have a one piece for when we go to the water park, and the idea horrified me. I like bikinis now, not sure how I’d look in a one piece ala BayWatch.

Cold and rainy here, blah! Yesterday some young kid hit my hubby in his work truck, no driver’s license, no insurance, etc. They ended up taking the kid, he was like 18 to jail. I just don’t understand how people can get behind the wheel without insurance or a driver’s license, you never know when a accident will happen.

Thankfully my hubby was ok and his worktruck is demolished but the driver’s side doesn’t look too pretty right now.

My internet gave me fits this morning too, just got it working, had to unplug all my modems and replug them in now it seems just fine, weird.

 

Hello Dertimination glad you’re back

So it had disappeared while being ill, combo of a cold and being anemic again, but I woke up today and felt it, that willpower, that determination that gets me to eat clean and workout.

Did my cardio today 25min HIIT on rbike 450 calories, need to up the intensity next time

and I will too, hit my calorie burn goal no problem.

I’m switching up weight days again to being Tuesday thru Friday instead of M,T, W, F

Figured my bod was getting too use to that routine. I’m glad that will that drives me to push myself is back, I hate that slug that tries to take over during that time "Why work out, what’s the point. Go ahead eat those Oreos they will do you no harm"

Well the point is even if I don’t see the exact external results I want right away, internally I am doing great thinks, lowering by blood pressure, fat around my organs, making the likelihood I’ll ever be diabetic lower too. My heart is pumping more efficient, my lungs are able to breathe more to their fullest, and every little cell in my body is happy. Eventually all my problem areas will cease to be problem areas.

As for the oreos well they would go right to my ass, hips, or thighs and stay there for years, so yes they would do me harm.

So anytime you feel like what’s the point? Always think of the internal changes and also think exactly where that piece of cake will land on your body and how long it will take to get it off.

Tommorow is legs/abs and cardio. Got to get those legs where I want them, and I will, I will I swear I will.

 

Which muscle group is your strongest?

For me its my legs. They can move weight that my upper body just can’t handle and probably never will. I seriously doubt I’ll be ever to ever move 450lbs with my upper body, but I can with my legs on a leg press.

Now they’re not my favorite looking part because I’m a pear. When I’m lazy and have a big old "what’s the use party" and eat like a piggy then they along with my hips, and ass get the fat. Nobody’s fault but my own, no  excuses, no "Oh I’ve been sick, oh I’m anemic right now, heck I didn’t even use "oh I’m having chemotherapy" as an excuse", no if they get flabby it just has to do with my conviction and will power.

I worked them yesterday and they’re thanking me today by having DOMS. But they like that feeling they really do. Secretly they long to look like my upper body, no fat, muscle that shows no problem so the more I abuse them the happier they are.

Yesterdays leg workout:

5min stretching(I have this image of me standing and raising one leg perfectly up by my side like the Juno chick does in The Descent, and I will get there eventually.)

Yesterday I took my little one to an dino egg hunt. Thankfully there were no insane parents like I’ve seen at other ones, you know running over the little ones to help their kiddos get eggs. Today is his 1st pitching machine game, hopefully it goes well, he tends to beat himself up if he doesn’t hit the ball when the machine throws it at him.

High of 51, game is at 5pm, I see several layers of clothes in our future.
