Running with the big dogs
Today was just cardio, and I let my imagination go to work. Dawn of the Dead Zombies chasing me, zombie dogs from Resident Evil and I wasn’t running alone. there were people running beside me, like Kimberly, Shannon, Al,Sheila, Alissa, Ryan, Janthony, Veronique, Mike, Brad were all running too trying to leave me in their dust.
Shannon kept saying in my head "I don’t have to outrun the zombies, I just have to outrun you!" Of course there was pushing and shoving and tripping going on but I kept running, just jumped over some of them when they fell, ROFLMAO!
Today was just cardio. I’m feeling lots better and can’t wait to hit weights 4x next week and do my cardio, though I’m hoping to be at The Arnold for all day Saturday with my Buffmom buds so it might be my workout.
Today I did sprint intervals on my treadmill for 5minutes
One day my sprints at 10mph I will not feel like I’m going to splat on the concrete wall behind me, I still remember when 7mph use to kill me now it seems like walking and 7.5mph is feeling easy.
I also did Hill walking on my treadmill for 25minutes. Nothing like hills to help the butt firm up!
This weekend and next will be jammed packed. This weekend will all be about my kiddo; karate, cub scouts, friends birthday party, last wrestling tournament, next weekend, The arnold Saturday with my friends, and The Arnold Sunday with my family.
The weather went from the 50s to the 30s today, winter just needs to leave and let Spring make her way already!

My competitive side outrode my fear of being eaten?
I cannot wait for the snow to melt. That’s all I want for now.

Oh and did you really pretend all that? I hope so because then I wont feel so weird. I do stuff like that all the time. Like if I am pushin some heavy weight I pretend I am trying to out do some chic that is trying to impress my man! It helps me get it up 99% of the time!

Sheila-Yes hills rock for the butt and yes I pretend that otherwise I’d be walking at 3mph because I really do not like running.
Shannon-yes your competitive side won out but I think it was working with your I don’t want to get eaten side.

I’m not above shoving women to the side, or the ground, if Zombies are after me. Besides, I’m older than you guys, and that means slower….
Intervals are great, whether sprints on treadmill or elliptical. Kicks my butt, sometimes right up to the point of puking. Awesome.

ROFLMAO, me neither, only I can take care of me, thus I’d be shoving too, lol.

Outrunning me should be easy, since I have 2 bad knees. But, I can yell at you from behind to make you go faster if you would like
February 27, 2009 at 12:41 pm
Brad-I’ll have to check those out.
Janthony-I need all the help I can get to get me to run fast, bummer on your bum knees.

HAHA! Thats awesome. Man, I have a wild imagination, I need to put it to use when Im at the gym too. So I’ll take it that in the end you were the only survivor. haha

I"m honored to have been part of the pack!
Now will you come run my race with me in 2 weeks? lol
February 28, 2009 at 6:56 pm
Yep use your imagination to motivate you, works like a charm.
Veronique-I would if we lived close to each other.

I know.
It’s a bit difficult with me living on the other side of the world.

LMFAO!!! I better not have been one of those people that fell and you jumped over!!!
If so, I’m going to get Bob a set of arms so he can start hitting you back! lol
I ran hills on Friday and my legs are STILL killing me! Good job on your workout! You kick butt girl!
March 2, 2009 at 11:36 am
Well Al pushed you down and jumped over you, not me, ROFLMAO!
March 2, 2009 at 11:55 am
Well, knowing Al, he probably pushed me down to steal my top hat (the one I got to show camaraderie with Brad) lol

I would have thought you could have just turned around and kicked all the zombies butt so the rest of us didn’t have to run so far.
And I thought you were a team player!
