Your kiddo gets a nasty stomach virus and sidelines workouts for a couple days. Its amazing how quick those things get the kids, he played football on Sunday, we went to the movies he was fine, and bam 1am, he’s a puking mess.
Fever, chills, aches, so he got to stay home for 2 days per the doctors orders and Mom had no workouts for 2 days. I have no energy in the evenings and when you add on the sleeping on his floor and waking up every time he did, uh duh, no wonder the energy was low.
He got to go back to school and Mom got a good nights rest and her workout in today. thus my miles are not as far advanced on my treadmill as I would like, but life throws you curveballs now and then
5min wu on treadmill
circuits:slds:125×6, 145×6, 166×6
w/wide lat pulldowns:50×6, 60×6, 70×6
w/hammer bench press:20×6, 23×6, 28×6
walking lunges(I loathe these)50×6, 70×6, 90×6
w/medium stance lat pulldowns:70×6, 80×6, 85×6
w/incline bench press:23×6, 28×6, 30.5×6
hamstring curls:60×6, 70×6, 80×6
w/narrow underhand lat pulldowns:90×6, 100×6, 110×6
5min cooldown on treadmill
Had to hit the grocery up since I normally go on Mondays and didn’t want to drag my sick kiddo out.
Came back and did 30min HITT on the treadmill, jogging and sprints
Tommorow I finish cleaning my house and hit my candy machines up and I’ll be back on schedule, knock on wood neither the hubby or I have gotten the stomach virus, yet.

If women solicited their attention like some do us? Couple weeks ago while driving with my child in the back, I had a group of men pull up by me and one turned around and lets just say tried to show me he knew how to do tongue aerobics so to speak.
Yesterday driving in my Malibu(not like I have a car that says "Yes hoot and scream at me, its a malibu for God’s sake) I had a man yell at me "Hey Baby turn around and come back here, woohoo!"
Now mind you I was dressed in a a tank top, that covered all of me but my arms and the only part of my arms he could see were on the steering wheel.
Made me think just what would he had done if I’d done a U-turn and pulled up beside him and said "Yea baby, show me what you got" Or the group of guys a couple week ago, what if I’d said "Ok, just let me drop my child off and we’ll go at it"
Now i have nothing against flirting, you know a nice smile here and there, I’m a married woman, its ok for me to look. But just imagine a world where a guy is walking down the street in his shorts that hang to his knees and a t shirt for AC/DC on a group of women driving by and screaming and hooting and hollering and making gestures to show him they know their own version of tongue aerobics.
Or a guy driving with his kids in the car and a woman screaming "YEA BABY, turn around and come back here and see me!!! WOOOHOOOO"
I truly believe that the men would run in fear. Anyhow that was just my thoughts for the day.
Yesterday I did only cardio burned 600 calories, thought of Shannon while I was doing it because I know she kicks her own ass everytime she does cardio.
Today I did my full body circuit with laundry as my warm up(running up and down the stairs with laundry)
circuits: sumo squats:105×6, 125×6, 145×6
w/one arm lat pulldowns: 40×6, 50×6, 60×6
w/decline pushups: bwx10×3
circuit: one leg hamstring curls:50×6, 60×6, 65×6
w/lawn mowers:30×6, 40×6, 50×6
w/incline pushups:bwx10×6
circuit: squats w/feet together:85×6, 105×6, 125×6
w/upright rows: 50×6, 60×6, 65×6
30min HITT on my treadmill
I reached a goal I"m at a little over 1151 miles, I wanted to be less than 100 miles away from my 1250 goal by the end of the week, so I"m getting there.

You know what I mean. You’re sitting there watching your child practice for whatever sport is current. Two other parents are talking next to you and you hear something you just can’t help but comment on.
1st Mom "Where do you get your eyebrows waxed"
2nd Mom "I tried this new place because they’re cheaper, I walked in and said "I want to get my eyebrows waxed" "The receptionist goes and gets a woman who works there who comes out looks me up and down, ’so you want your brows and your lip done’ "Uh no just my eyebrows"(so we walk back there and she does my brows and says and ‘you want your lip done too right?’ Uh no I said my brows are you trying to say my lip needs done"
At this point I just crack up laughing I can’t help it. They proceeded to talk about pregnancies and what is the woman’s name with all the kids on tv. Me again "MIchelle Dugar" I"m sure they will sit far away from me but damn it don’t talk about funny **** and not expect me to say something once in awhile.
I mean I could’ve been a b*tch and said "well honey you should’ve got that lip done" but I didn’t say that. Oh the things I could say, thankfully people can’t read my mind or the lady at the Y with the arms so short I felt bad for her would’ve known that when she told me to hold the damn machine different and it caused me wrist pain and she told me "oh you have too much weight on it" and I looked at her and thought "and you are the expert on form? You look like you have never touched a weight in your life probably can’t with those arms"
But no she never knew that or when she told me when I was at 18% bf I was too lean I thought "if I wanted to look like you maybe I am too lean" no she never knew that. See I can think mean, mean things.
Anyhow just my fun moment yesterday today I did my body circuit
10min kicking Bob(sometimes you just need to kick someone)
circuits:good mornings:50×6, 70×6, 90×6
w/wide bench press(work on form)65×6, 70×6, 75×6
w/Arnolds:15×6, 20×6, 23×6
circuit: knee ext: 125×6, 135×6, 145×6
w/narrow bench press:75×6, 80×6, 85×6
w/bent over lat rows: 12×6, 15×6, 20×6
circuit: rdls:95×6, 115×6, 135×6
w/back ext: 15×6, 25×6, 35×6
30min HITT on treadmill
LIttle cooler here today, another night of football practice and popcorn sales start soon oh the joys of school.

someone asked me that the other day. Uh….not like I currently do, I have this image in my head and that image has a far better ass than I do, and no jiggle in her thighs.
Now granted I probably look better than what I see when I look in the mirror, I immediately see the trouble spots and not the spots that say "LOOK at me, I’m all muscle here" Nope I see the jiggle spots, the spot where cellulite has deeply entrenched its roots refusing to let go even though I’m yanking at it with all my might to pull it away.
I think to me my body betrayed me, not so much because of what it looks like now, Hell I had a hand in putting that cellulite there, too much goodies not enough exercise once upon a time. But internally my body grew cells that had the potential to kill itself and that was the ultimate betrayal.
That’s hard to let go, some part of me always says "Who cares, one little cell can decide to go haywire and poof you’re dead". Thankfully I have realize that the more I do to keep my body in shape internally and externally the less likely that will happen.
Now to work on my self image and not to say "EWWW look at that spot, people must run in horror when they see that spot coming at them"
Or "EWWWW look how that still moves when it shouldn’t, how disgusted people must be when they see that" Truth is most people could care less, don’t go out of there way to look for cellulite, jiggle, wrinkles, fat rolls on other people they’re too busy worrying about how they themselves look.
But it was those trouble spots of mine that got me to do my cardio today on my treadmill and I did jog the whole time on the treadmill upping that mileage to 1138 miles, 1250 I will meet you before the end of the year and surpass you I swear!

Especially when you’re hanging upside down, with your child shrieking as you both wait on the damn ride to move at the fair. I think it was called the zipper? You get in a car(fits 2 people) they basically put a bar up against your legs, there are like 12 of these cars on this big wheel that spins and each car can go forwards or backwards as my son and I found out.
He was begging me to stop and I told him I was the one making the damn thing move, though I did finally figure out how to hold the brake on the car so we stopped spinning. Then the little kiddo who shrieked at me on that ride got off it and wanted to get on the kamikaze which is a boat that swings like a pendulum all the away around and damn if we were hanging upside down again for 5 second periods.
Anyhow life got in the way of my blogging last week, I did my workouts just fine, just felt like killing people on Mafia wars instead of blogging last week.
Today I did a full body workout:8minutes beating on Bob
circuits: free bar lunges: 70×6, 90×6, 110×6
w/narrow lat pulldowns:90×6, 110×6, 130×6(hard to stay on the seat)
w/db flat bench press:28×6,33×6, 35.5×6
circuit: hamstring curls:80×6, 90×6, 100×6
w/wide lat pulldowns:70×6, 90×6, 100×6
w/flat db flys:23×6, 28×6, 30.5×6
circuit: free bar squats:110×6, 130×6, 150×6
w/seated underhand rows:50×6, 70×6, 90×6
30min HITT on treadmill
My kiddo started flag football last week, had his first game yesterday, I was impressed with how he kept track of the ball, I had a hard time keeping track of it.

Its the beginning of September for God’s sake, it should still be warm, thankfully supposedly it will be warm here tommorow, its dropped into the thirties the past couple nights.
I think I mentioned on here, my town being famous for the dumbass who drove his motorized bar stool drunk. He ended up pleading no contest and now his ex wife is suing him for proceeds from the sale of the bar stools apparently he hasn’t been keeping up on child support.
Also we recently got speed and redlight cameras here. We have a road that is like the Indy 500, it goes thru town, its clearly posted 35miles per hour but prior to these cameras you’d been hard pressed to find anyone doing that or even 40. Since the cameras and the $100 tickets they issue, we have become famous again.
Apparently some people are appalled that they are getting tickets for doing 46 to 50 in a 35mph zone. How dare they get caught, by the camera. One lady said she didn’t realize the speed had dropped from 50 to 35mph. Uh hello there are 2 signs warning your ass that speed drops ahead, then there are numerous signs stating 35mph.
People got hit by multiple tickets because like I stated it is the INdy 500 and they have the right to go thru town as fast as they can if there are no cop cars in sight.
NOw I am no saint. I do go anywhere from 3 to 8mph above the speed sometimes, more so not really paying attention because I’m keeping up with traffic. People who feel they can speed as fast as they want thru town are boycotting the town because how dare they have to go the speed.
Well you know what who cares. If there were 30 cops up and down the damn road they would be so busy stopping speeders that all robbers and rapists and murderers could have a field day here. I mean come on! Driving is a privelage(sp) not a God driven right.
And just because you have said license does not give you free reign not to at least attempt to obey the damn traffic laws to some extent. I mean I watched some a$$hole go thru a clearly red light and almost hit a woman in her van with her kids.
Red means stop, not lets see how fast I can go and miss hitting anyone.
Ok I’m off my soapbox now, just getting tired of all the letters to the darn editor from people appalled they got caught speeding, I mean when I’m caught I pay my ticket and try to correct my lead foot.
I did work out today, just a bodyweight workout and some cardio.
Made a note to stay away from scale for a while, its just so aggravating sometimes.

Because every now and then I kick the living sh*t out of me.
So true, that part of that song. Sometimes I’m an enemy to my fat, and work hard to slay it, other times I’m an enemy to me eating healthy and sucumb to cookies. Its so hard to find that balance sometimes, Its nice to kick my own ass workout times but I know too many and I’m burned out.
Then the evil side comes out with the food now and then, but I’m human its to be expected, at least I haven’t had that other part of the song happen to me in a long time.
Please tell me why……………My car is in the front yard………..and I’m sleeping with my clothes on………..
Not to say I’ve never done, heck at least the guy in the song ends up sleeping in his bed, once in my hey day I woke up on the floor, oh to be young again, LOL
Anyhow I kicked my ass working out, first things first, I met my goal of 1111 miles on my treadmill and my new goal is now 1250 by the end of the year, I’m at 1117 now, I did cardio yesterday on the treadmill
And some cardio this morning on the treadmill
Then 5min pounding Bob(he scared the sh*t out of me during my weight workout, lol)
circuits: butt squats 95×8x3
w/one arm db rows: 30.5×8x3
w/low cable crossovers: 30×8x3
circuit: Smith lunges:75×8x3
w/very wide lat pulldowns: 50×8x3
w/wide bench press: 65×8x3
circuit: one leg knee ext: 70×8x3
w/back ext: 25×8x3
5min stretching
Later I did 20min HITT on my rbike Alwyn cosgrove style.
Now off to pick up my rugrat.

Especially in high humid days, I swear it adds another inch to my height on high humid days. I just smile and say "Oh well at least I have hair" Once upon a time I didn’t so I never complain about my hair.
Today was a bodyweight exercise days I did circuits
5min stretching
circuit:side leg raises off bench w/supine chinups w/incline pushups
circuit:donkey kicks w/supine pullups w/decline pushups
circuit: thighmaster(yep I have one, got it from an old neighbor) w/ back ext
5min stretching
Cardio, some on the ellpictical some on the treadmill. I’m now 5miles away from 1111 miles I’m pretty sure I’ll make it next week, when I do my next goal before the end of the year will be 1250 miles.
I did hills on it, constantly working on the glutes. Read a cool article about whether your glutes are activated or not while you work out.
http://figureathlete.tmuscle.com/free_online_article/most_recent/how_strong_are_your_glutes_really
I could do the 1st test with my right leg no problem but not at all with my left. The 2nd test was easy for me but I think that has to do with all the yoga I’ve done.
So I’ll have to work on getting that left glute up to par and activated, don’t want no lazy glutes, they need to be working damn it!
Been doing real good with my food too this week though my hubby’s birthday is tommorow so I am pretty sure I will eat a piece of cake and hopefully no more for the week it sits there. Going to make him "healthy" lasagna(think whole grain, low fat ingredients" he loves lasagana and I rarely make it, so that’ shis present from me.
Though he liked the card I gave him, had a a very well endowed lady on the cover with the title:brain age test inside
The question inside was "what color was her purse" below that it said if you said "she had a purse????" then you’re still young.
When he saw her pic his eyes bugged out, opened the card and said "She had a purse….." turned the card over and was like "wow she did"
too funny.

I have them hanging in my cardo room:Ron Coleman, Michelle Berger, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner. I just recently hung up Sly Stallone from the Expendables and got some new pics to hang up.
Of course another Jessica Biel from Blade Trinity, she was so ripped for that movie and I like her philosophy as an actress I read she stays in the middle ground. She doesn’t keep all the muscle but she doesn’t lose it immediately like so many do for movie parts.
wish they all felt that way, Hillary Swank was so ripped for Million dollar Baby now she looks like skelton woman, so I have a pic of her made during the movie, hung up.

Anyhow I guess my point is use whatever it takes to motivate you. As I do my sprint intervals on the treadmill and I loathe running I think "Now Kermane you can’t look as good as Jessica Biel did in Blade if you don’t" and I do them.
So now you know something I use to push myself. I know when I went thru my cancer 5 years ago I was mortified, I took care of myself, I worked out(cardio, light weights) and yet I got cancer, what was the point of all that work if I was going to get cancer, I mean who gives a sh*t, I should’ve just ate like a pig, and layed around.
Well luckily a part of my brain pointed out to me that I was in my 30s, there were children with cancer who would never get to enjoy their life like I had, so stop wallowing in self pity. Also a plus from me taking care of myself was that instead of feeling like I was dying from the chemo, I had two days of being tired then I was back to me.
So when life makes you think, WTF. Think about the big picture, not just the small pic in front of you.
Today I had to go to the doctor, 35minute drive, 2 hours there, another drive to get bloodwork done, so I had no time for cardio before picking up my son but i got my weights in.
wu:5min pounding on Bob
circuits:SLDL:115×8x3
w/upright rows: 50×8x3
w/flat flys: 23×8x3
circuit: rdls: 95×8x3
w/penley rows: 60×8x3
w/incline flys: 20×8x3
circuit: single leg hamstring curls:50×8x3
w/military presses:20×8x3
10min cooldown on rbike.

Well I hope instead of being saggy and baggy and hunchbacked I’ll have awesome muscle like Sly Stallone. I mean the man is ripped and he is 62 years old!
I always cringe at the thought of having one of those humps, and looking like I belong in the Bell Tower at Notre Dame so I constantly try and work on my posture, years of bad habits when I was younger(thing being a teenage girl and towering over guys in your class) are hard to break, but I work on them.
Today was day 2 of AMCBC challenge so it was bodyweight only exercise
Of course I did some cardio on my treadmill, lots of hills involved. I’m like 14miles away from my goal of 1111 miles on the thing so once I reach that I’ll have to set a new goal for the end of the year, I’d probably reached it if I hadn’t needed to take time off.
I did my cardio early in the day, later I did my bodyweight exercises and let me tell you I had DOMS this morning and my body was not liking even bodyweight exercises, will have to try and take No Explode tommorow with my weighted workout.
5min beating on Bob(he was so bad during my time off)
circuits: squats:bwx8×3
w/supine pullups:bwx8×3
w/manly pushups:bwx8×3
circuit:backwards lunges:bwx8×3
w/supine chinups: bwx8×3
w/diamond pushups:bwx8×3
circuit: supermans:bwx8×3
w/fire hydrants:bwx8×3
followed by 10min cooldown on my rbike.
Got my candy machines taken care of today, tommorow I have a doctor’s appointment, to check the old thyroid. I passed a big milestone with my cancer this month, on August 13th I was officially 5 years cancer free!!!!! Plus I had a birthday August 16th. Big month for me.
I’m glad I was impatient and was born in August instead of October, lots more fun things to do outdoors in the summer though I do love Halloween. HMMMM…..
