Well, the show is over and I didn’t come in well at all. My legs and my back were cramping so bad just before I got on stage, that I can clearly see in the pictures that I wasn’t trying to stay tight very hard. I think I looked better 4 days before the show and I’m trying to figure out what I did differently. My husband thinks going from a dry cliamte to a humid climate might have a bit of a factor.
Now that its over and I got over the sadness, I’m motivated to improve on things and compete again….crazy, huh? I just have to figure out what show to do……????
Here is a pic from Atlanta.

OK…..down to the last two weeks. Right now all I can do is ramble because the diet sucks and I ran stadium stairs, so you know, my head isn’t on straight!! Besides the way I feel right now, my workouts have been pretty good and my energy still seems to be good. I’m going to have more energy in the gym tonight after seeing these pictures…aurgh, my back side is WAY behind!! I think the front of me is coming around pretty good, thanks to the shoulder workouts that my hubby has been putting me through. I really get mad at him while we are in the gym, but I’m so thankful he is pushing me so hard.
On a sad note, I just got a phone call and found out my daughter’s great-grandmother passed away. Today was her first day of school, so she doesn’t know yet. Tonight is going to be very sad at the funeral.
These new pics are quite funny and crooked because I had to take them by myself with the timer. It was a learning experience for me!!

OK, the next couple of weeks are going to be a big blur for me…. I just got done running stadium stairs for the first time in over a year and my legs are still shaking! Today is going to suck because now I have to go to work and we runour butts off at work! I’ll be ok….my belly is full of tuna (yum/yum?) and my legs are jello….perfect! I am getting really nervous for this show. I looked at pics of the girl that won the show the last two years (yes, she will be there to defend her title) and she looks fabulous! I know, I know…I’m only competing against myself to do the best that I can do, but come on….I WANT TO WIN!!!
My daughter took these pics this week (not bad for a 6 year old) and I think I’m too soft and loosing too much muscle. I will concentrate on eating even more clean food and keeping my weight on.

I am 3 weeks and 5 days away from my show. Time is ticking quickly and I’m getting stressed that my body isn’t responding. I can see I’ve lost some muscle, so I know I’m not eating enough. Luckily my bodyfat is dropping, but so is my muscle Maybe that’s just me being over-critical, so you can decide. I know my calories have dropped…my appetite has been small and I can’t seem to force myself to keep eating…..hmmmm……
My suit is almost completely stoned now, just a few more! I think I’m going to like it!

Well, my diet was better this week. The sugar cravings subsided and my focus is good. My hubby put me through a shoulder workout yesterday that has my delts screaming for mercy today-LOL! I need to hit them hard like that every week, but I usually work out alone without a spotter, so I can’t take them to failure.
I noticed I jumped a week forward in my blog, so I was relieved to realize that I have an extra week! I am now 5 weeks out…again!! Here are new pics…with a few more stones on my suit. I guess you can watch the progress on that as well!

Five short weeks out from my competition and my weight is still the same. This is great news for someone that has trouble holding onto weight! I keep telling myself it’s crunch time, but for some reason I crave sugar like crazy lately. I am able to resist it for the most part, but it keeps calling my name!
Here are my latest pictures that offer little change at all from the beginning. I have always been able to pull off big changes during the last week before a show, even a day before a show, but I want to feel more prepared going in. That’s just the way my body responds.

Well, I can see that I need to start making alot more changes-LOL!! Last week was so hectic with my daughter’s 4-H and work that cardio was not priority. I only did 3 thirty minute sessions I did have some great workouts, though! I am still so sore that it takes me a few minutes to stand completely upright!!
I have great motivation starting this week out and have made some big changes in my diet….I have a new post-workout shake that should help me hold on to some of those little muscles!

I am going to be tracking my progress for my first pro show on my bodyblog for the next 7 weeks. The show is September six and I will be posting weekly photos so we all can watch the changes…hopefully they will be BIG changes-LOL!!
Here I am at 8 weeks out….

I have a pretty fast metabolism, so I just started cleaning up my diet. I eat at least 115 grams of protien a day and weigh 111 pounds. I need to hold that weight as long as possible!

Its been awhile since I’ve written a post and alot has happened since then. Well, at my last show (the one that I decided to do a few days before) was a great experience! I won the overall title, including an NGA pro card. That night I had a bad stomach ache that drove me into the ER a couple nights later. After a few expensive and painful tests and a second trip to the ER, I had my gall bladder removed. The scars are healing and I’m feeling good.
My first pro show is in 8 1/2 short weeks! I’m excited but nervous. I hope I can put on even more muscle by then.

I really think that I am crazy! I just got done competing in an NGA pro-qualifier in hopes of acheiving my pro card, but according to the NGA rules, we were 3 girls short of the show actually being a qualifier. I won the show, but no card. There is another show this weekend in Boise that definately has enough entrants to qualify for pro in figure. Well, I decided last minute to re-start my diet and go compete again! I’m 3 days out today and I have to work on Friday, making time really tight!
Well, send your "good luck" vibes my way this Saturday. Hopefully the last-minute trip will be successfull!!
