hi everyone!! hope yall are all doing great and sticking to your training to reach those goals! I’ve been FABULOUS this whole week. I started taking my training/workouts and meals seriously and it feels amazing! i’ve been in this incredibly good mood. Feels like ive been taking Prozac or something…not that i know what that feeling is like, i’m just exaggerating. I love how energized i feel throughout the day now that i’m working out in the morning.
I’ll be away from the gym for a few days due to convoy operations but ive packed some fruits and somewhat healthy snacks as an alternative to those calorie packed MREs. i havent even left yet but i’m already looking forward to getting back in the gym. Now i can see why all you gym rats are addicted! it really is like a drug!
Well, thats all for now…keep up the hard work…train hard and stay focused!

So my goal is to lose body fat and get toned. i have about 10lbs of fat that i still want to lose and i’ve started doing my cardio and weight training and i was just wondering if it was a good idea to start drinking whey protein shakes. Will they interfere with my fat loss goals? ive never taken any sort of supplement, fat burner or protein…so i really have no idea.
any advice will be greatly appreciated! thanks, hope everyone is having a fabulous day!

I’ll be leaving the wire for a few days starting this weekend and a few days into next week. Looks like i’ll have to up my workouts and cardio until then. I’ll be on the road and wont be able to work out…and on top of that i’ll be eating MREs. Those of u in the military or prior miiltary know those things are PACKED with calories. DOH!! i’ll bring some power bars and such but i can only survive so long without real food. Not that MREs are real food n e way!
Well, i was really just babbling…things do get extremely boring out here in the desert. Same thing everyday…same people, same routine!!!
Wishing everyone a wonderful day,
Karen

So i’m trying to shed some fat and gain some muscle definition…especially in my legs. My legs are "chubby" and ive got a long way to go so ive gone to the gym and done leg workouts but im afraid that all i’m doing is just making them bigger. I want to be able to workout my legs and lose the fat without adding any bulk to them. i know this is a beginner’s fear, and thats exactly what i am, a beginner. i’m new to this whole weight training world and i’m just looking for some advice on what sort of exercises i should be doing to get my legs lean. thanks for any advice yall anyone can provide!!

So i started this whole bodyspace and bodyblog thing to help me stay focused. i like getting online and seeing all these amazing transformations. All week i was eating better, drinking plenty of water, did weight training 3 days this week, ran about 10 miles this week and this morning was my first weigh-in. I get on the scale feeling positive and motivated….and then i saw that i GAINED a pound!!! how does this happen? i was so sure that i had lost at least a couple of pounds… im feeling a bit down. Not sure what i could have done differently…
