Lower Back Problems

Hi all. I really hurt my back a few years ago and I’m trying to get back into the swing of things and try to make sure I look the part of a Personal Trainer.

Does anybody have any ideas on some great lower back work to get my back ready for some heavy work? I would really like to try some new ideas or maybe you went through the same thing.

Thanks for your help!!!!!

Hyperextensions with your own body weight,
Laying face down on the floor with your legs straigt natrually and arms extended straight ahead and flex your body to make like a slight back bending arc, only thing touching the floor should be your sotmach

I had a long rehab from a broken vertabrae and a ruptured disk. Went through a lot of rehab. A good exercise is to lay flat on the floor and do a slow push up raising your upper body while keeping your hips down on the floor. You will feel the stretch in your lower back and do this 20 times. Also, work your abs. Strong abs will help your back. I am careful with my back and do hack squats and stiff leg deadlifts. Hope this helps.

Any type of hyperextension exercises should help your back repair and grow. Good luck!
