I’ve got a case of the jimmy legs….it’s fun!  Just got back from my workout, always a good time.  I’m going to change up my diet a little bit just to see what happens.  Another site I checked out calculated my BMR w/ activity level as 2400 cals per day not including workout calories and lose a pound of fat per week.  I love the idea of being able to eat more and still lose weight so I’ll give it a go.  Today, 2200 cals, 215g P.  I also need to stay away from the scale for a few days as its starting to freak me out a little.  I don’t know whats going on but I’m heavier this week but clothes all fit the same and my measurements haven’t really changed…. Maybe my scale is possessed by the devil.

Low Carb Day so I just try to keep the protein at 50-60% and however the chips fall for the rest of it is fine.  Today’s total=1510; 169P/102C/50F but I haven’t actually decided if I’m going out tonight or not yet so I’m saving a few extra calories just in case I have a beer later.  Workout was good, nothing flashy but it got done.  I love the day after no-carbs because I feel like I’ve dropped a ton of bloat…sure it kind of sucks at the time, but I love the after effects.

Normally I would make tomorrow a high carb day but I work the next four–it’ll give me two high carb days/two low carb days to get through that more comfortably.  No carb day on a 12+ hour shift makes me cranky.

No Carb Day!  Today’s totals: 1680 cals; 232gP, 74gF, 5gC (that may even be an all time low on the carbs for me).  I don’t workout on no carb days so nothing to add there.

Workouts:  I do full body workouts 3 days a week, HIIT cardio 2 days a week & moderate intensity cardio for 45 minutes either one or two days a week depending on how many no carb days I do.

Diet:  2 no carb days per week (days I don’t work or workout), 2-3 low carb days a week and 2-3 high carb days with a max cals of 2200 per day, minimum of 1400, at least 165 grams of protein per day.  I keep track of it all on Fitday so I’ll only post what I’m actually eating if I need to for right now.

Big challenge is that I started a new job about a month ago and I’m still trying to figure out how to make this all work together.  I work 3-5 12 hour shifts per week and I am BUSY at work.  I barely get time for a 20 minute lunch break and time to pee through the day, much less time for 3-4 actual meals.  I’ve been relying on protein shakes and FiberOne bars to fill in a couple of those meals.  I know the bars are crap but convenient (and mighty tasty).  I want these two very important aspects of my life to fit together and if I have to sacrifice "perfect" to make that happen….I’m willing to do that.  Besides, it gives me another variable to change if I hit a plateau.

I’ve done online journals/blog before….think I even have one somewhere on BB.com, but I would have a couple bad days or skip a few workouts and I’d feel so guilty about it….like I wasn’t worthy to be posting on a site like this.  Well, screw it.  This one’s for me:  a place for my diets & workouts & rants & (hopefully) some support/info from people who know a lot more about all of this than I do.  Thanks for checking in….I may not be perfect, but I will stay the course.
