I didn’t end up competing this year at the Vancouver Natural. I got very sick three weeks prior to the show, then to make matters worse, sprained my ankle bad enough to end my leg and cardo training for a week. I hold myself to pretty high standards, therefore competing short of my absolute best just wasn’t acceptable. The good news is one of the competitors I placed higher then last year won the overall this year, so it just motivates me more to get back on stage. So I want you all to know that I will be competing again, October this year!

I’m losing some muscle following the right percentage increase of calories from last year but it’s just not enough. I got to bring my calories to 4,500 now to maintain at 7%

The comp went great, I learned so much in the past few months and I can’t wait to start applying it. Today was my first workout since the comp and let me tell you, it felt GREAT. I really think my body is going to start responding differently to weight training now, since I really established a base for it to rise off of. I hope to compete again in the next 9-12 month with 10-15 lbs of lean tissue added. Wish me luck.
