SUMMER BOOTCAMP ‘08
All I need is room to fight
Hand in fisted glove.
Point me to the sky,
It’s my turn to fly.
Hand in fisted glove.
Point me to the sky,
It’s my turn to fly.
I have exactly two more ten page English papers to write. Once this meagerly difficult procrastinated task is completed it will be officially summer vacation/break.
Dictionary.com defines this lovely period in time as:
a period of suspension of work, study, or other activity, usually used for rest, recreation, or travel; recess or holiday: Schoolchildren are on vacation now.
The exciting and/or sad part of this statement is that in order for me to live my life and be successful I need to more or less skip this event.
i am an actor
The day I chose to sign my life away to conservatory was the end of a summer driven life. Nearly every adult I know lives there entire life in pursuit of the two weeks a year they get in vacation time. I decided I didn’t want to work a nine to five job. I decided that was not for me. I decided I wanted to live my life doing and engrossing myself in something I loved. I was going to to not spend my life sacrificing my energy and time doing something that had little or no meaning to me in order to get a mere two weeks to spend releasing the stress that that certain something gave me. I chose to be an actor.
Theatre is the coolest and most exciting art form, I believe, on earth. It is the sole element in this world that drives me, motivates me, and challenges me beyond belief. I have just finished my freshman semester at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. It has most difficult and challenging year of my life thus far. I have had to overcome emotional, physical, and mental obstacles beyonds understanding. The sad and eminent fact as it all comes to an end is that this is just the beginning!!!
