I am a hurting unit today.  I carry all my stress in my neck and right now I am maxed out.  It is my 6th week of teaching in a row.  I have some issues with my truck that aren’t going to be covered under warranty and it was probably the dealership that screwed up my tires.  My girlfriend is pissed at me for planning a suprise party for her and gave me a piece of her mind just before teaching.  My assignments for my University classes are all due in the next 2 weeks.  Soooooo needless to say I am now paying the price and my neck is out!  I went to the chiropractor yesterday, another appoinment for tomorrow.  I have a massage booked for Friday which is much needed.  My workouts aren’t going so great just because I can’t lift heavy.  Only 8 1/2 weeks left to the competition.  I have been meditating which is definately helping.  I just need a break right now.  I got my workout in at lunch today.  Tonight I will read some chapters for school and maybe practice some posing.  My check out word today "Done.Peace. Ouch!  Lifting heavy does have it’s price.  I’ve gone back to my wrist guard these days because I can really feel the weight impacting them.  I did arms today and tweeked my right hand a bit.  Sharp pain, not a good feeling.  Finished off the routine but it wasn’t feeling that great.  Luckily I had the support of the guard.  The definition in my arms and shoulders is looking fairly decent.  I think those are my best body parts.  I don’t seem to be loosing any size there which is nice.  I just want to look symetrical, toned and shapely while on stage.  The long limbs make it a little difficult to have any size.  If I can maintain what I do have, I think I will be ok for the fitness model.  I am definately not big enough to do muscle model.  I feel very positive and excited to do this competition.  I definately am focused on training and dieting for the event.  After I weight train I do practice a bit of posing.  Last night I was practicing spinning my bball on one finger for my costume.  I am just not sure if I can have nails and do it! LOL!  Cardio was good this morning, although I was feeling a little tired.  It is always great when I am done!  Now I can fool around the rest of the day! :)   Peace. J~

Ok, I already blogged today  but I was so excited about 2 things I had to come back.  Firstly my fabulous friend Wish2BFit found us a new spray place that does competition tans.  Hand spray, not machine!  Yippee, I already booked.  How fantastic was that, just after I was b#$*!ing about it! LOL!  Patience is not one of my virtues.  Secondly, my other amazing friend Vis Viva gave up one of her incredible carrot recipes! For those of you who are dieting and doing the raw carrot thing, that can get pretty monotonous.  She shreds them (raw) and adds cumin, cinnamon, ginger, garlic, lemon juice, splenda and cayenne pepper.  The fantastic thing about that is each of those spices help to increase metabolism plus are amazing for heart health.  I had 6 oz tonight with my protein and LOVED it.  Maybe she will give up some more recipes! Had a great ride at 5am this morning.  I love getting the cardio out of the way.  As soon as I got to work I did my back workout and practiced posing in my shoes.  LOL!  "If my co-workers could see me know" was what I was thinking as I struted my stuff in the weight room.  It is an excellent room for practicing. Lots of walking space and mirrors.  Today it was completely empty.  I think I will keep doing that first thing in the morning to get some time in the heels and flexing my body.  I have my first assignment done for my course so on schedule with that to help keep the stress level down.  I already arranged to go shooting on Friday to get that out of the way for qualifications.  I am even up to date with work stuff so here I sit at the computer plunking in my workout and checking on some friends. :)   I am meeting Miss Brigette and Wish2BFit for lunch, yup BYOL (Bring your own lunch)  it will be good to chat and laugh with my fellow competitors.  Wish Vis Viva could meet us.  I have all my bookings done for hair, nails etc.  Today I was a little bumed because the tanning place my friend used to spray for the competition last year isn’t doing it any more! :(   I guess it was too expensive to bring in the dye and the amount they needed on the body.  I will check with W2BF because her trainer was using the same place.  Maybe she has another option on that.  I would rather not spend the time painting my body and rather have someone else do it.  Any takers? So am I crazy or what?  I am competing at the end of April in a fitness competition and I have planned to go to Scottsdale and Mexico 2 1/2 weeks prior to that!  I am staying in houses in both places, I have access to gyms and total support to take the time to train from my family!  It can be done! :)   I am looking forward to the time off from work to rejuvinate.  It has been a long 2 months at work.  I will be done my course in the first week in Scottsdale and then I can relax, eat, train and mentally prepare.  I think it is a good thing.  Hey, bring along the heels and I believe I have it covered. 

This week I am doing cardio for 50 minutes.  A little earlier get up and I finished my cardio before work.  Once I got to work, finished the am meeting and went to train chest.  I am so lucky I have such a supportive work area.  Pretty much everyone who is important to me there knows I am competing.  One of the gals who races triathaletes was amazed how lean I was looking.  She totally understands why so she’s not riding my butt about getting too lean for too long.  At 6′3", 156 lbs is pretty light.  All through University, my ball playing weight was at least 165 so this is light!  I feel pretty good.  I looked at the pics from the posing clinic and I have lots of practicing to do.  This weekend I have a friend helping out with some posing.  Well off to slave over paperwork! Today was supposed to be a day off.  I rode for 30 min. anyways and did some glute work.  I need to keep the butt tight for the competition and I think I need a little more work.  I saw my nutritionist today and although he is very pleased with my results and how I am coming along, he agreed that I could do some more work on my glutes!  He is just careful to maintain my lean body mass.  We are kicking up the protein this week to help combat that.  I weighed in at 156 lbs today and 12.8% bodyfat.  I am so excited.  I went to a posing camp today and it was great.  I totally had a 6 pack when we were doing abs!!!!  That was so cool.  Now I just have to take a picture of it! LOL!  I actually am pretty happy with how everything is coming along.  I have to practice my posing the next few weeks.  My back was pretty tired after the 2 hours. Tonight is cheat night so no pictures tomorrow! Peace. J~

Got up early and out the door!  Had a fantastic workout, both cardio and shoulders.  Smoldering shoulders!  They are tired now.  A bit stiff in the neck so I think I will hit up some robaccecet tonight to loosen the tightness.  Tried some advil but will need something a little stronger.  I am lifting pretty hard.  Trying to push some maxes in the last set.  Leaning out I can really see my muscles working.  Neat.  I love shoulders and I think they are developing quite nicely.  Looking forward to 2 days off.  Plans for the weekend….posing clinic and weigh-in tomorrow morning, then cheat meal at night.  Homemade carrot cake anyone?  Peace. 74 Days till competition!  Yikes! This morning I had a great cardio session and back workout.  I really maintained a focus on squeezing my back while going through my sets.  I also pushed myself on some heavier weights so it felt really good.  I met my friend Vis Viva for a coffee today and it was so great to see her.  What an inspiration.  We aer dealing with similar things with our families and the worrying about "diets."  It’s nice to have that support from her.  A great suggestion in her blog was meditation.  I have been teaching meditation to my students but have fallen away from it myself, so last night before bed I meditated.  I had an awesome sleep!  Much more focused and relaxed today.  I will continue but I also need to build some guided imagery into it for the competition.  That will definately help me.  I was so excited to give her the bracelet I found for her in Mexico to go with one of her suits!  I think she liked it! :)   We chatted about getting ready and supporting each other back stage, I am looking forward to that.  Well time for some work! I am absolutely freezing!  I can tell I am loosing BF because I walk around work asking if anyone else is cold! LOL!  I feel like I am zoning a bit too.  Between  meals I am hungry and tired.  Right now I am 3 hours between each meal, stretching it between 6am-9pm to squeeze in the 6.  My nutritionist told me to up my protein for the 4-5 meals, but because I was all over the map last week, I have decided to stick to this until I see him Saturday.  I am not teaching this week, so I am back to working out Monday to Friday which I really LOVE. I had an awesome workout this morning on chest.  My cardio is bumped up to 45 minutes now so getting it done before work is going well for me right now.  I also started my online course at the University so feeling a little stressed.  I like to have lots on my plate because I don’t procrastinate,but I also have to watch my stress level. Especially with my lack of carbs!  Things are great.  I am feeling good as far as body appearance.  I have a posing clinic on Saturday which I am excited about.  I spoke with my seamstress today and she is going to begin my suit because she figures my body will not change to terribly much.  I am so excited about that.  Peace. Agghhhhh!  I am all over the map today with weigh in and working out.  I am glad the week is done and tonight is cheat meal.  I need to get some cravings out of the system.  I have yo-yo’ed a bit with my weight and I think it’s because of travel and also my hormones are out of whack!  Anyways, tomorrow I start fresh after tonights workout.  I was so hungry last week, but I am thinking there were a couple factors that added to that.  I just upped my protein a bit in the last couple of meals and it was ok.  I am looking forward to my fat test next Saturday.  That is my true measure.  I shouldn’t have jumped on the scale in the middle of the week.  It screwed my head a bit!  I had a great cardio session this morning.  Followed by a good yoga stretch with my daughter.  I was happy that she went to my neices to hang out for the afternoon because I went to the gym and had a fantastic chest workout.  I never get to do chest at the gym, usually at home which is fine. But I love using the hammer machines and cable crossovers.  My chest is already tired.  I am sure I will be sore tomorrow, I couldn’t even finish some of my reps, totally maxed out!:)  I forgot to enter my standing calf raises to my tracker program.  So calves were good today as well.  Off to make my specialty, salmon salad and rice!!!  (It’s the sauce I create with it that I love so much)  I also made some butterscotch squares to cheat with and I have been craving popcorn the last 4 weeks.  So that will be my cheat meal. Mainly the squares and popcorn…..boring but love it!!! Peace. J~
