Last workout of the year!!! I got my cardio in earlier this morning and after making breakfast for my daughter, finished off with back and shoulders. I love it when Dani joins me while I train. She is only 6 and loves to do chin ups on my Smith rack. It’s great to see a child so young loving fitness. I love being the inspiration for her, especially at 42. She finished off with some bench jumps and lunges while I did my training. Finished off with some great abs and the rest of the day is mine! J~

Almost a new year! Unbelievable how this year has flown by. January is going to be amazingly busy for me at work. I am just praying that I am going to be able to get my workouts in with the hectic schedule I have ahead of me. This month has been so amazing with the progress I have made. I don’t want to loose this momentum. Today I did another 60 minutes cardio on my recumbent. Awesome to get it done early. I then did chest as the rest of my body is still recovering. All in all, a great workout! 1 more day in 2007!!! J ~

Love the day! Had a great cardio session on my bike. Rode 60 minutes and did interval training. It was awesome! Met Tobi at the gym downtown to do some body weight leg training. Can you say lunges, side lunges, back lunges??? We did amazing sets. Also did some jump training and running excercises. I really got her on the core work! LOL! Her abs will be killing her tomorrow. We did multiple sets of some really great lower ab excercises. Topped it off with some push ups and called it a day. I was worried my knee was going to cause me some pain, but it felt strong. I am hoping I just tweaked it this morning and nothing more. J~

On a roll! I did my 1st portion of cardio this morning at home on my recumbent bike, 30 mins. I also did my plymetrics. Later in the morning I went over to the gym for a change of scenery and did legs and another 25 mins of cardio on the treadmill. I don’t have a leg press at home and like to change it up with legs either using the smith machine at home or leg press at the gym. It was a pretty good leg day. Overall I am happy with my progress. Trained at home today which is great. Love to get it done first thing in the morning. Rode my recumbent bike for 30 min, did arms (both biceps and triceps) then rode again for 30 minutes and plymetrics. I can really start to see a difference in my back and I believe it is from the plymetric excercises. Everything else I do, I pretty much have always done. Other then changing around excercises or reps, it’s pretty standard for me. My plymetrics are similar to power yoga which is lots of body weight excercises, but more explosive in what I am doing. My back looks tighter and beginning to look more developed. Yeah! My diet has been really great over the holidays as well and amazing when you have no stress how your body reacts. My sis is coming into town today which is awesome! Miss her and the kids will have a great chance to spend time together. Glad I got my workout done so I can enjoy the day! J~

Love the Christmas season at the gym. NOT! All the "resolution" bodies are at the gym taking up space. Oh well, went in with a good mindset and had a great workout, just had to maneuver around holiday workout bodies. Had an awesome cardio session and did back and shoulders. 2 workout partners which allowed me to go heavier with a bit more rest in between. It was a good day. J~

What a great day! Had a good cardio session this morning, back and shoulders as well! I feel great this Christmas. Positive body image and training feels like it is going pretty good. Haven’t fallen off the track even with all the festivities going on. It’s beautiful outside, even in the snow, so going to spend the afternoon at the rink! J~

Early cardio and plymetrics this morning. This afternoon I did another 1/2 hour cardio and arms. Feeling pretty good. My arms are feeling strong and I like the slight changes I am beginning to see. This will be a good stretch of days off and training. It sure helps not having to be at work for 12 days! J~

WOW! Looking at my last entry, this is not too good. I hate it when instructing gets in the way of my workouts. 2 long days on Thursday and Friday and my time goes out the window! Recovery from the sniffles was good, only 2 days and my head cold was gone. Thank goodness, hoping for a healthier start to 2008. I trained legs today with Tobi and Tim. Hmmm, for me 3 is a crowd. I split off and did some of my own stuff. It was great, love the look my legs are beginning to take on. Did cardio on the treadmill, 7.0 incline at 4.0 mph. Then legs. Early this morning I did the recumbent for 30 mins and my medicine ball plymetric excercises. I think the next 10 days that I am off I will do 2-a-days for cardio just to help with the "extra" snacks over the holidays. I really don’t endulge too much, but even a little nibble here and there add up. J~

Unbelievable, I have yet another cold. Only a sinus one, but enough to cause discomfort in my workout. I managed to stay on the treadmill, walked at 6.0incline at 4.0 mph. Usually I am at 7.0 incline, but my nose felt like it was burning, like that out of shape feeling. Brutal but I still went for 30 minutes. I did arms today as well. No plymetrics though, didn’t think pushing it so hard would be that great. I am goign for a massage tomorrow which usually helps me move the cold out of my system faster! Can’t wait, my back is pretty sore from weights yesterday so it will be nice to get my backed worked on!
