My Bio…..

_JWA927572-2[1].JPGHello, my name is Julie (although I’m better known as Jules). I am a 39-year old mother of 4 beautiful children. I have been happily married for almost 15 years (and together for more than 20 years)!! My husband is my best friend and soul mate (and a great workout partner). I gave birth to my first child in October 1996 and my last child was born in February 2001. I truly was your average mom barely finding any time for myself with four little ones running around. Life was passing by quickly and I finally decided that I had to do something to change the pace. I started small and worked my way up - participating in a 60-mile fundraising walk for cancer, early morning boot camps at a local field (rain or shine), and then eventually finding Cathy Savage Fitness. At age 38 I competed and took home two trophies. It’s addicting and I love it!! I am also a part-time model and actress - but more importantly, I’m a full-time mom and wouldn’t trade it for the world!! Although it leads to a very busy life, being a fit mom is possible..and wonderful!

The way I eat….

Quite a few people have asked what I eat…I eat 5-6 smalls per day. I drink a gallon of water per day (crystal light). My snacks are really small meals….and I rotate my starches so every day is not the same.

I concentrate on my protein and my fats and good fats. There are not a lot of choices when you try to eat clean. I am a picky eater to begin with. I stick with lots of chicken and spinach and my good fats are flax oil or almonds. I use whey protein in shakes with water. I love fruit but limit it to 2 per day.

I do enjoy an occasional cheat meal when hubby and I go out on  Saturday nights, but I keep it small and not too too bad.

I was never a clean eater so this is all still a process for me and I try to incorporate into our daily family life!

Hi there, I wanted to thank Cathy Savage Fitness for educating me about the importance of clean eating and working out to my full potential.

 

I am your average regular girl and I have seen such great results in the past 4 years. I started off by walking and then moving onto weight training. And loved my results….I have had children so I have struggled with baby weight and not finding time to myself…I understand it’s hard.

 

Being a fit mom is possible and it’s fun! My family is active and they appreciate a mom and dad who stay healthy.

I look forward to being part of Bodybuilding.com
