After a few weeks of inconsistency I finally have gotten my diet & training back in sync. I feeling good and focused. I plan on setting some weekly short term goals to stay in the game.

I’m pushing 40 and I want to find these abs before I hit that milestone. So I need to stay focused on a clean diet and good, hard training! Seriously considering a half marathon in the Spring.

I know I can do it!

So I ask my self, what now??? Well, me and PJ68 (Holla at ya!) and gunning for some abs by 7/1/09 for starters. I’m going to need discipline in the kitchen to get that done. Not to mention some support from all my bodyspace peeps! But the question remains….Do I train for a half marathon??? I’m certain I can run it but in what time??? The last few weeks stepping up my game for the run today have been cool and I want to try and keep it going, even if I don’t train for a half.

Most important, no matter what, I’m still in the zone!

So the leg I’m training for is 6.5 miles. Really not all that far but I’ve never been a runner and the furthest I’ve ever run is 5 miles. So earlier this week I did 4.5 and felt great and I had a a goal of 5.5 on Saturday. I felt so good I ripped off 7! More than the freaking race I’m training for!

So once again, I do say, "I’m in the zone"!

While leaning out has been a struggle for me, I’ve been training hard and eating pretty clean. Recently I was talked into running a 6.5 mile leg in the upcoming Buffalo marathon on 5/24. I hate running, but things have been so good lately I feel like I have to do it. Putting everything together may be what I need to finally get lean.
So with all said and the way I feel, I think I’m finally entering "The Zone"!

I also haven’t been eating as clean I should. So I guess I feel guilty for not working hard while all of you have been.

In any event, it’s time for JR to hop back on the training horse and kick some freaking ass like I have been for the past 11 months. Set some new goals, revamp the program & diet and start reaping the results!

My apologies to all my friends for my silence during my 3 week rut. I guess after 11 months of training hard we all can crash.

I’ve been training and dieting my ass off for 4 months now and I finally feel like I’m starting to look good. Before, I knew I was loosing weight and getting into "shape", but until now I didn’t think that I looked good. The definition is starting to show in all areas now and that gives me more motivation. I especially want to work on my abs. I think that is the one part that lags behind the rest of my body. Although it also was the largest when I started! So I’m hoping by 6 months into this I’m turning heads rather than getting the "nice progress" comments. But don’t get me wrong, they are very much appreciated. But I think most of you know what I mean.

I started using BSN NO-Explode and had my first workout with it. What a huge difference. I couldn’t do enough. I felt like I could have worked out all day at a maniac pace! The pump was great too. I also changed from optimum whey to BSN Syntha. What a huge taste difference from optimum. Not even close and worth the extra $10 without a doubt.

Now that I’m close to ideal body weight it’s time to start measuring and tracking my body fat. I haven’t a clue as to what it is but I’ll find out soon and go from there. Summer is coming and I want definition by June! Check that, I WILL have definition by June!
