Two great workouts and no headache or pain beyond the great achy feel after a really good, even if simple, workout. The original plan was to go back tonight and do legs, but since lifting my arms is a small issue right now and I do need to work on Friday, and walk while I’m there, I took the night off. Tomorrow legs, Saturday -THE BEACH,- than shoulders. That will be the final test to make sure my headaches are "managed." Arms on Sunday and at least one more chest workout before my next chiro appt. It’s great to be back and feeling good about it.

Well the last 2 weeks have been a mess, only 1 workout, 4 trips to the vet (and a weekend with the inlaws in NY). The good thing is the workout was a shoulder routine which I had finally recieved permission to do. Very light and amazingly very tiring, but no issues after the fact. The visit to NY was actually great and we have two more trips planned for this summer for engagement parties.
The sad news is that we had to put our 4.5 year old Rottweiler pup Roxy to sleep. She started developing non-cancerous cysts about 2 months ago and in the past 2 weeks she became covered in them. We took her to a specialist for tests last weeks and due to the holiday the rresults weren’t available until yesterday. Over the weekend she stopped eating and couldn’t sleep because these growths had affected her nose and possibly her lungs and stomach. Right now she is in a much better place, catching all those pesky squirrels that drove her crazy for the last 4 years. She was a great cardio partner, dragging me all over the neighborhood.

It will be back to the gym tomorrow and if I get no headaches in the next two weeks, my neck issue/headaches will be considered "managed" and I’ll be on an as needed basis with my chiropracter. If I had only met him two years ago….
No use crying over it, at least I can go back!

It’s been 10 months since my last post and I’m just now able to work outout with no pain. As you can tell my few workouts have been extremely inconsistent and pretty much non-existent. I found a new chiropracter who has helped correct my posture and has started assisiting me with retraining my muscles (especicially my lats), which so far has eliminated the numbing headaches, and constant pressure on my neck. At this time I can finally get back in the gym, but I have to stick with pull exercises, push ups, and minor resistant exercises. My patience is causing some issues. I love training hard and this ‘taking it easy,’ even after missing all this time in the gym drives me nuts, but I promised to do it right, so I’ll try.

Ok. I’m starting over again this Monday. Yeah, I know Monday as a start date is so typical, but that’s when I can go. The past year and a half have been horrible because of the neck injury I got from falling down the stairs, nothing exciting, poor clumsiness, but at least it led to my shoulder being fixed, the one I hurt two years prior to that — that was do to being an "overachiever" in the gym. I don’t have a clue what I’ll be starting with (Mondays tend to be typical -everyone doing back or chest). I’m down to 108 lbs and soft, at my best I was 122lbs and between 9-11% BF. Hopefully over the next 6 months I can really head in the right direction
