Well tonight is my night off. Four great workouts including 2 pretty heavy leg workouts. I’m finally feeling pretty confident at the gym and am actually going to start throwing in shrugs again as well. If it hurts I’ll stop. I never did add in lunges so I’ll have to do that in my next workout.

I am also thinking about putting in a seperate day for arms instead of doing them with chest and back. I had great growth when I did a routine of 4 supersets (a bi/tri combo). By the end my arms were spent. So even though I add a day it would actually keep each workout to about 45 minutes unless I also do cardio. In that case I would be out in under an hour and a half. I’ll see how things go. I may have to wait until the summers over, but I’ll see what I can juggle.

I’m just going to sit back tonight and watch the finale of SYTYCD, relax and escape once the Cowboys Training camp comes on. I love football, but my husband is, at times, a little intense when it comes to his team.

Delts and Traps tomorrow and chest again on Friday (if I have a car to get to the gym.)

Well vacation is over I had 3 great days at the beach, several great workouts, did some clothes shopping and decided against getting another dog right now. It was fun, but back to the grind tomorrow.

We decided against the pup for 2 reasons 1) both of us work during the day and the poor thing would be home all day with just 2 cats for company, one of which is bigger than the actual puppy 2) I couldn’t find out enough info about the breeder and after owning a puppy mill I don’t know if I could go though the medical horror show again

Regarding training: For the most part I’ve cut out all cardio - even my warmup - just stretching now. I really just want to gain more muscle and some size right now and the best way for me to do that is to lift heavy. Cardio tends to, of course, get me too lean.
My diets been pretty clean - except for a couple drinks yesterday. I have to figure out my macros, but I’ll do that tomorrow (probably at work - if it’s as slow now as it was when I left) My workouts have been good, volume and reps slowly increasing with no injuries or aggravations.

I won’t be able to post on the forums like I was finally able to do this past week, but maybe at night if I can stay up after the gym. It’s kind of fun in there

But chest/bi’s and back went great. My weights are going up, forms good, and I have no pain in the gym in the neck or head (more from trying to read at the beach).

I haven’t busted out my belt or straps yet. I’m hesitant that I’ll overdo it, but I also know that I will make better gains. We’ll see…

One more day of work and VACATION. I have nothing planned just the beach, if this rain would just go away. I’m afraid to check the forecast and risk finding out my week off will be a wash (literally).

I’ve been having great workouts lately, weights are pretty steady, but staying in the 6-10 rep range and feeling great afterward. Still cleaning up my diet, which is pretty good, but could improve (it will come, and I think I said that before) I couldn’t figure it out today I needed to do bent-over BB rows and since the the area with the set bars was so crowded (rainy Thursdays = people go to the gym) so i went to use a long bar. PROBLEM — between the benches and the racks my gym should have at least 13 bars — today there were 5. Good thing it wasn’t Monday or Tuesday who knows what people would be doing. I’ll go tomorrow and they’ll all be back. Sometimes i think I’m going crazy.

Legs tomorrow. Good and heavy is the plan and I plan on doing lunges (for the first time in who knows how long). I hate lunges. i always wobble no matter how frequently I do them, but gotta get the backside going to.

Now back to puppy sitting and watching SYTYCD -my one tv vice.

Every 2 weeks it’s great I get an e-mail from admin saying I haven’t done a body blog. So I’ll do one today and someday maybe I’ll do them so I don’t get reminders anymore. I know it’s here for me, I’m here almost daily or at least to enter a workout :0

So what’s up with me. I’ve been back in the gym fairly consistently and my weights have gone up. No headaches, or any complaints physically. I only wish I could get where I wanted to be as so much quicker even though I know better. My diets cleaning up nicely and I’ve again adjusted to being fairly strict with what I take in (this didn’t take as long as I thought, but than again I’ve always been pretty good, I just had more frequent cheat moments when I wasn’t lifting.

The fun part is I now have some time of coming up. A great four day weekend, a couple of BBQs than back for 3 days of work before I have a whole 9 days off. Beach - Here I come!!!!! And I’ll get my tan back, not that lobster look I have in 1 of my pics.

Well back in this week. Had an incredible back/bi routine yesterday. Todays chest workout was only so-so. Everyonce and a while I try to do chest the day after back. It never works, I have no idea what I was thinking to do it this week. It went well, but I believe it would have been much stronger if I had done it differently. My plan is to work things out so that I do lats/traps one day with back the next and do chest later in the week. I should be able to work this out into next week. I also decided to do tris with lats/traps this week since the workout felt weak and my tris are defineitly a weak point so I didn’t feel it would have worked well today. (So Saturday it is)

Tomorrow I get to do do legs (my second favorite next to back). Which is a good thing since my legs were still sore on Tuesday from last Fridays workout . I plan on adding in more exercises for hamstrings. I mayhave to add them in on a different day with something else. We’ll try it tomorrow and see how it all falls together.

Well I’m back in the gym and things are going great — No headaches, pain, craziness. I’ve increased my weight slightly and decreased my reps. Historically I’ve found that for me it’s the best way to build up my muscle.

Now, what is up with these groups of 3-4 people needing to work out together. It felt like happy hour at the gym tonight. The gym is big there is no reason to cluster around the benches to talk — GO TO A MORE OPEN SPACE. The DB racks are not for sitting on, leaning on and standing in front of unless you taking them to use. Step AWAY form the rack so everyone else can get their own weights without needing to wait for you to either figure out what your doing, finish your conversation, or finish that never ending set of reps you want to do. We all see your arms — now GET OUT OF MY WAY. If you want to flex, go somewhere else (you may have to look at your legs, but you won’t be in everyone else’s way)

And where have all the women gone. I see them on cardio, in spin and in the classes, but avoiding the free weights. They walk in stay for about 5 minutes and leave. The men don’t bite. They usually say hi, and continue about their business (of lifting some weights and checking the Sox score). Please come back it does get lonely occasionally being the only female out on the floor.

I’ll guess I’ll go back to the gym a later time even though I do like going straight from work. Maybe then I won’t feel the need to vent here and be positive and uplifting
