Taking it to another level.

Monday, April 28th, 2008

Did heavy squats last week and was out of commission for 2 days. First time I had back pain in a long time.  Gave my back some time to rest - recovered quickly.  Then I returned to the gym with a vengeance like I was going to war.  Had to cut 2 new holes in my belt – will weigh myself later this week to see if I hit my 50 pound weight loss goal -I’ll wait and see.  Hard to believe that 4 months ago I weighed 270 pounds

To Date, I have done all of this on my own, but now I am ready to take my bodybuilding to another level- have been in contact with an awesome personal trainer/nutritionist and hopefully will meet with her next week. I am looking towards the future and can’t wait to see how things turn out.

Getting past Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness DOMS

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

Did a really hard leg workout on Monday nite. Woked my wheels and hamstrings like I was going to war.  Tuesday, no problem. By wednesday, delayed onset muscle soreness set in.  I could barely move and it killed my cardio workouts. Hamstrings burned like hell.  Well I guess the cliche holds true: No pain, no gain. Well, after a hot soak in epsom salt, an aspirin and a good bit of stretching and I"m ready to roll.
