Back on Track

Celebrated my birthday and went off track.  Trained hard but afterwards had steak, shrimp and broccoli but blew it with pierogies,  dinner rolls and bday cake.  The guilt i’m feeling now wasn’t worth it. Saturday is usually my cheat day so I wont cheat this weekend.

Started using whey protein powder this week and it gave me a boost.  I used to take that stuff when i was a kid to balance my blood sugar and lost 70 pounds by the time I was 17.  Kept it off for almost 28 years until Injuring my back. Taking the powder now seemes to stall my weight loss even before I cheated.  I  guess that’s a fact of getting older, who knows?

Decided from now on only to weigh myself once a week.

Dealing with the here and now: Back on track-working off the guilt. Did my cardio this morning.  Shoulder work today and wil do an hour of cardio tonite. This is  a long journey but I am better now than I was 2 months ago!  And in 2 months from now I"m gonna be better off again.

How did you end up doing for the weekend? I think you shouldn’t be so hard on yourself…I mean you celebrated your birthday…Happy Birthday by the way!!

Interesting that the powder seems to have the opposite affect on your weightloss now.

You are right about the progress. Each day, week, month, you will notice that you are better than you were. Keep up the good work!

    Thanks for the birthday greeting!
I celebrated a great birthday week and really love my new job. For the weekend, I did an hour cardio each day and worked off the guilt and stuck to my low carb diet.  Still went down another loop in my belt so something good is happening.
Thanks for your comments and words of wisdom. Best of luck to you also!
