Week 2 Plateau
First off I want to say I am feeling much better to start this week. Last week was tough. I don’t know where it came from or why I felt it but I got super down and just depressed. Nothing really changed life wise to cause the change in mood so It was a little confusing. My workouts suffered due to my mood but I’m proud to say as tempted as I was I didn’t cheat on my diet.

I got a big dose of practice what you preach this week with the weight not coming off. I experienced the dreaded week 2 plateau they always talk about on The Biggest Loser. I went from losing 11 lbs the previous week to only 1 by Friday morning this week. Hardly any weight loss and my spirits already down really took a toll on my little by little mentality. As I’ve said in the past I am a results driven person so small numbers especially when I am as big as I am it discouraging. But I did my best to finish out the week and lose a total of 3.5 lbs which makes a little over 7lbs for a 2 week average. So with that in mind my spirits are back up and I am glad to say I feel like this week will be at least another 7 lbs.

Hope all is well and I wish all the best for You and Yours. God Bless.

wow Ive never lost that much weight in a week ever. that would be so weird if I had, a strange excited experience. Good for you for not cheating!! :)
Don't get too impatient to lose the weight. That usually leads to diet trainwrecks & not sticking with it. If you're eating THE RIGHT WAY (which is to say, a healthy long-term eating plan, not a drastic short-term "diet" that you are guaranteed to not stick with over the long haul), then losing 1-2 lbs of bodyfat per week is doing very well. I make the distinction of losing BF, not weight. If you're not eating a healthy diet, and you go drastic, then a lot of the weight lost is water & muscle, not BF. You DON'T want to lose muscle, since muscle burns calories, bodyfat does not.
Keep in mind that 1 lb of BF is equivalent to 3500 calories. So, to lose 1 lb of BF, you must burn off 3500 calories more than you consume. Doing the numbers, that means 1-2 lbs per week is good. Slow & steady, with a HEALTHY diet, is the way to guarantee that you'll keep it off once you lose the bodyfat you want.
Good luck! You can do it! :D
Keep at it brah. You're doing great. Remember it's just One Day At A Time on a long journey.
I know what that is like. Plateau's suck. I was in one for the last couple weeks before I started switching it up. Stay at it Boss.
