Legs and Cardio

Did my workout this morning Legs and Cardio.   2 hrs of  a good work out.  I went on the Scivation website and deciced to do some reading since those are the products I am using.   (by the way my review of the products are comming soon if anyone cares lol)   Any how…… their was this link to join Team Scivation so I clicked on it sent an email and I got a response  a free workout and meal plan to meet my goals. I am greatful for this.   Hopefully this will be another tool to help me get to my goal.   Its been almost a year since I started this journey and there is no looking back!

Until I leave for Vegas.  Ive basically been doing alot of cardio 1 hour a day for the past 7 days.  Today in addition  to the cardio 30 mins 15%incline speed varied from 3.7-4.0 and 30 mins on the ellipitcal .. I did some back, triceps, and abs (for the dress hee he heeh he).  Tuesday legs and cardio.

I purchased the body fat analyzer and Ive measured my BF 3days in row 2 days it was 24% today it said 23%.  Now I was told since I just got off my period (its been 6 days the results may be off due to water retention)  So I will wait until Tuesday to see if they are any changes I know I need to shed more fat in order to see real muscle tone.

Ive been doing alot of Cardio because I wanted to drop some weight.  Well I went dress shopping yesterday and it paid off.  I saw this dress and I was like can I fit this dress.  Well I tried it on and it was fabulous!!! So excited.    Let me tell you last year I would have even thought about putting on a dress.   More motivation to keep on track towards my goal.  

I did an hour of cardio today 35 mins on the stairmaster and 25 on the elliptical. About 600 calories burned. I think I needed to eat a little more because my body felt like I had to work to get to the hour.  I think its the summer heat too.  I need to fuel my body more to keep it working.  

I didnt do any weights today because Ive worked out 6 days straight Ill do some weights Monday.  4 More days until Vegas I and Im so glad that I get to dress pretty thanks to my new healthy lifestyle!

Well today was supposed to be my off day but I am trying to get in as much cardio as I can so I can drop a few lbs before I leave for Vegas.   I did 1 hour on stairmaster phewwww!! it felt great.  First time I ever did 1 hour on that machine.  I burned about 600 calories so that was awesome.

 My body fat analyzer came in today and I started at 33% I am down to 24% and my BMI is a 23 so I am very happy with my results after almost a year of working out. Sooo Im looking foward to seeing more changes in my body in the next 6 months.  Maybe have my Bodyfat down to 19% I am positve I can get down to 19% by the end of the year.  See more muscles I would love to become a fitness model I have always dreamed of doing that I wonder if I have what it takes to be a  model.  I guess time will tell.   Let me get my body right first!

Today’s workout  75 mins on the elliptical 60 in the morning and15 before I did my legs. 

I had a good workout today was excited because I lost 1 inch in my hips 37 now!  My goal is 35 inches.  I am loosing and toning at the same time and that is all good.  I am glad Iam shedding fat now I have to keep working on  it so I can muscles in my legs, my ultimate goal!

Then I get home and here Michael Jackson is gone.  Its so hard to beleive that he passed.   First Farrah, then Michaell!  I see so clear now that how precious life is.  You have to get out there and do the damm thing and dont let nothing stop you. What a day What a day so sad.  :0(

Going to Vegas in 10 days I want to be sexxy lol!!!

I am sooo excited I am going to Vegas 4th of July weekend and I  cant wait.    So I have more motivation to get sexxy and cute. I had a good work out today (triceps and shoulders)  and I did 10mins on the stairmaster and 60 on the elliptical.  I am trying to drop more weight so I really hope all this extra cardio will help me fit into my dress and help me look better in my bathing suit.  I’ll probably wear a little wrap  to hide my flaws (booty hips thighs) I am so self concious(spelling)  about my strectch marks that are on my lower body but my body is better toned so I hope I can still look good in my bathingsuit.

Question: Should I refuel with a protein shake after my workout?

Answer: No. You should refuel with a carb shake that has a little protein. As an athlete, your body needs a foundation of carbohydrates at each meal to fuel your muscles. While some protein is important to build and repair muscles, consuming too much protein displaces carbs. I counsel too many carb-deficient athletes who hurt their ability to train hard and get the most from their workouts because they choose a protein-based diet lacking in fruit, veggies and grains.

You should target three to five grams of carbohydrate per pound of body weight. If you weigh 150 lbs, that’s 150 to 200 grams carb per meal. If you chug a can of Ready-To-Drink Meal Replacement Shake with 40 grams of protein (at cost of about $3.60), you’ll get only 12 grams of carbs. A fruit smoothie (juice, yogurt, banana, berries) or chocolate milk would be better bets that offer more carbs and enough protein. If you prefer the protein shake, be sure to bolster your carb intake with a banana and a whole grain bagel as well.

I worked my legs today and on the advice of others from a previous blog I ate a preworkout meal before I exercised.  I felt much better eating that meal.  

I also did 1 hour or cardio (Elliptical)  The plan was only  30 mins but then I told myself I could do another 10min and another and another, next thing you know the machine was resetting to start another workout.

 I also purchased a bodyfat analyzer the one you hold in the air.  I hope this will give me a more accurate body fat reading I know there is no possible way I could have 50% body fat like the scale said I did.   I guess I have to wait and see!

Reducing my calories to loose more weight

Today I reduced my calories so I can loose more fat my goal is to get down to 145 and I weigh 152.  Problem I have no energy to lift weights. 

My meals

Meal 1  Oatmeal I scoop of protien  9:45am

Meal 2 Ground Turkey Brocoli  1:00pm

I went to the gym from 3:00- 5:00PM

Meal 3 1 scoop of protien  10 almonds

Meal 4  Chicken breast and spinach.

 

Can I work something in here and still drop weight ?????
