Nothing like a Heart attack for inspiration
I was taken to the emergency room today because I thought I had had a heart attack, the doctor thought I had a heart attack. The tests found that I did not, but at 34 years of age I realized that something needs to change. I was trying to fool myself in to thinking that I was in better shape than I really am. The doctor said that I was in O.K. (not even good) shape for a man of 73. That hurt but was true. I need to change my life completly or just realize that I am going to die soon.
I have a deadend job behind a computer that no one respects or puts any merritt in, that I do for 12 hour shifts. My nutritional intake could not get any worse if I made a bowl out of cooking lard and filled it with butter and sugar. I have lost all of the real muscle that I had while doing strongman contestest and my endurance is so poor as I have never done cardio in my life!
I have done this for the last 14 years. I don’t even know where to start to make my life come around to where it should be. Any suggestions?

Well it all comes down to diet, portion control .Finding a good gym with the right equipment and instructors.Cardio and resistance training are a must.Personally i did cardio first to fat strip with a mix of light resistance work on the weights.I think in the early stages at my age the protein intake was too high this you will have to get some solid advice on and also timing of foods can be very benificial.Sorry for being abit vague but you need some advice from your instructors on all aspects of your goals and programs.

That’s your wake up call! Thank God it was not a heart attack, and you are still young enough to do something about it. Consult with your Dr. to come up with a nutrition/exercise game plan. You have to have nutrition 80%, 10% strength training and 10% cardio. Above all these things you need the desire to change your health.
