Shed the fat first than build that muscles
I am learning quick and I learned that people who is fat should not weight train until they loose that fat first. Because when you weight train to build muscles you need to feed the muscules with good protein and quality nutrients. If you have fat and start weight lifting (which is what everyone does) its going to be a struggle to gain muscles. Because you will probably eat more to feed your muscles, not to mention you are still feeding your fat. I started my weight lost by cutting back what I ate for atleast 3 weeks. I started to drink alot of water and doing cardio to strenghten my heart. My cardio started with only simple 25mph walks on the treadmill for 20 minutes. Then each week I speed up… until I could actually run for 20 minutes without stopping. It became easier to run when you listen to some 80’s dance music, so I recommend some 80 disco mixes and a cheap mp3 player. My wife and I didnt care about meal portions until we started the Nutrisystem Meal diet for a month and we did loose 10lb each easily and without getting hungry. The portions are unbelievably small (270 calories) and the first 3 days of it I was mentally (hungry) could not believe that is all I have to eat. Anyway, we both stayed with it until the end of the month and realized major weight loss of 10lbs for my wife and over 16lbs for me. My wife was getting abit tired of "sealed up" old food for dieting. After learning about what made NutriSystem work we started our own quest to make our own fresh food with similar "Glysimic values, calories, fats, proteins" So she starting cooking up fresh foods mainly made of steam vegtables, tofu, salmon, chicken, etc. Using less oil and serving smaller portions. Ah better! Its been 2 month since I saw my twin brother who didnt do any dieting but said he is working out every day with weights. He is still 168lbs looks the same round person and I am 145lbs. slimmer and I still have a small tummy fat left so I going to drop my weight down to 140 or 135 until all my fat is gone and start doing the major muscle building programs. Right now since I dropped down from 170lb to 145lb I am starting to weight train since I know muscles will help me burn fat and some how it is easier to weight train since I dont have to lug my old heavy body around to do weights. And I see so many fat guys in the gym hitting the iron huffinng and puffing… I think they will get a heart attack. So this blog I am writing down was my way of entering into weight loss and soon my journey to get ripped. PS my wife dont want me to have that muscle monster look, so I will try to keep my muscle development to more toned sculpture look.

Whoever told you that weight training inhibited weight loss is dead wrong I’m afraid. Weight loss is all about the human metabolism and, more to the point, manipulating it. By feeding it enough protein, which can still be done in a reduced calorie diet, you build some muscle, which in turn helps speed up your metabolism, making it easier to lose more and more fat.
Yes, cardio is still important. And your brother who doesn’t diet won’t lose weight, I’ll agree there. To truly reach your bodies potential though, you need both. Can you lose it without weight training? Sure. But you’ll lose more effeciently WITH weight training.
As for the "muscle monster" look, it takes people years of training and supplementation to get close to that, so I wouldn’t worry to much.

The point I was trying make was that my twin brother started weight lifting when he is weight in at 168lb.(same as I). So, since I took the route of bringing my weight down first before I started my working lifting. Compare to his working out, I feel that I dont feel as tired and dont huff and puff as much as he does and he still is 168lb. his waist is 35. My workout is only 30mins total and high reps using light weights. I checked with my twin and says that he is on a low calorie and high protein diet but he still looks fat to me. I did try to feel his arms and chest muscles and there is size there but no definition in his muscles from his works out. So end results he does look bigger I guess his had gain the same mass than me but not in a desirable shape for his stature of 5′ 5". I will upload some pictures of my twin just to compare our results. As for me I am wegith in at 145lb and I am still trying to reduce my Body Fat with cardio this week along with weight training. Yes I do want to effeciently burn off those 25 years of tummy fat once an for all. Thanks for your insights!
