Today was cardio/kickboxing day….my fav…..i start on the treadmill at 3 miles an hour @6 incline for 2 min….then hope off…(treadmill still going) then do a 3 min round on the heavy bag….jump back on the treadmill….for 2 mins…then back to the heavy bag…..I do one hour of this type of training.
It is based on the cross fit / Ross training….I keep my heat beat up in the fat burning range for at least 50 mins. I like to think of it at a kicked up version of HITT.
Things are going great…still working towards my goal of breaking the big 300 mark by jan 1 2008.
Funny how when you turn 40 you look back on your life and see how you developed to be what you are today. Some of us are happy…sad…had a great loss….don’t do any except watch tv or turned to working out to be the best you can be like the great group of people in BB.COM!!!
I love reading up on all the transformation so many of you have gone thru….this give me and allot of others, the drive to go on….to be the best we can be!!
Till next time….train hard….train smart!

Like I said it’s snowing here in Manitoba…..had a great work out this afternoon. I woke up three hours ago from working night shift and feel great.
Todays work out was half hour of cardio on the elliptical (completed 4miles on ramp) and one hour straight of heavy bag - kick boxing.
I tell ya there is no other feeling after you work out….your beat….but you feel amazing!
As I sit at the table in my kitchen hitting this laptop….I look out side and watch the snow fall. You mite think I crazy but it’s beautiful. This working out and feeling better about myself has changed me….for the better. Before I would be complaining about the snow…..F@CK it’s snowing….but now I look outside and think…..man I am luck to see the snow fall.
Take care………train hard…….stay safe!

I love and hate night shift (12 hours 1730 to 0530 hrs)…lol…. there is less BS at night but it kills my body!!
The sleep thing is big problem….I found that the older you get….(ps…41 is not old…..lol) the quality is not like it use to be.
But with the training I have been doing I found that I am feeling better on nights.
Well off to the "house of pain" to do heavy bag and tread mill work out for a hour and a bit.
Take care every one…have a good weekend!
Peace!

I just finished working out for one hour….one min treadmill @ 3miles - 10%incline and one min heavy bag is hell of a work out do one then then other…anyways….. I think back to Jan this year (07) and coming back from Cancun with my wife a few friends…I am still haunted by the words I said that day…"could I have an extension belt please".
How did I get to that point? Where did it start? Funny how weight gain just slowly over time is just creeps up on us with out even knowing. ‘
Today I am proud to say I am down from 380 to 310…down 70lbs…..In Jan 2008 we as a family are going on a hot holiday and It may sound funny but I can hardly wait to get on the plane and not ask for a extra belt…lol..
Take care..

Well after trying to eye ball my portions and not journal my food intake I have not lost any weight in the last couple of weeks. To write down every thing you are eating is very important and makes it real.
Starting today I began to journal what I eat. The good thing is I have not gained weight and I have put some muscle size on. One thing I did not stop was working out. This is my saving grace! With a combo of DIET and working out you will loose weight. Just working out and eating what ever you will not loose weight. There is no magic bullet people.
I find stress of my job and shift work has a impact to my diet. When I am stressed…I turn to food. One thing I have found is when I journal I don’t cheat. Could it be that if it is on paper it make it real? I think it does.
I really think the key is not to get in a rut but after that bad meal is to get back to eating the write foods right after.
I am starting back on night shift tonight…eating the right foods, writing down what I am eating again and working out hard. I have to do this for me because with out me….there is nothing!
Stay tuned!

It been a hell of a battle getting to where I am today. So many ups and down in the last 41 years. Funny how take a major event in your life to change the way you think and act. I had to ask for an extension belt for a airplane seat belt in Jan. 07. I had to ask myself….self ..WTF!!!……I have two kids and very loving wife….do I want to be around for them later in life? YUP! This was the start for me and my journey to loosing the weight. Today I am 320 lbs and feel like I have not felt in years…wonderful.
I am more than ever motivated to get to my goal of 260 lbs…Keep you up todate!
Oh ya one more thing…..NEVER AGAIN DO I WANT TO ASK FOR A BELT EXTENSION!
Peace!
