Ok, my wife has a big family so the get togethers consist of cookouts adn drinking. I dont drink (havent in 8 years!) but the food always seems to get me! I try not to gravitate towards the grill, but thats were all the men hangout. Im tring to learn to cook healthier, but I need to know what to stay away from and what to "keep it coming". Im tring to lose weight. I dont want to get ripped or look as awesome as alot of the guys on this site. Just dont what to be tubby anymore. So if anyone has some recipes that they love, I’m willing to give them a try. I eat everything, meat wise and love all veggies. (Maybe thats why im this big now!) I also need to learn portions and what to lose about 40 lbs, I weigh 240! Ive been tring since December but no luck.

Ok my 6 yr old son is finally old enough to start doing sports. (He already workout with me and benches 85lbs!) His b-ball games are early in the morning or after lunch. My question is what kind of breakfast, snacks and drinks would beneifit him. Hes a big boy, 4′4" and weighs 74lbs. I know the stuff I would eat or drink, but he is my oldest kid and this is all new to me. I just want him awake and alert. I help out at a game last night and I saw alot of kids just wornout, slushish and they were telling their parents that "they were so tired". I know its not a furture shot at a pro career, but I do not want him so exhausted after the game. Any advice you can give me will be apperciated.

Ok this is what I was thinking about all weekend. Is it good to quit soft drinks cold turkey, or cut back to one a day? The reason I ask this, is because my intake is alot, about five 12 oz. cans a day. Hopefully someone out here can give me some kind of advise on the matter and lead me toward the right direction. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Wow, just finding out that one of my best friends in high school, had a stroke 8 months ago because he is over weight! Now he has high blood pressure and a diabetic and he is only 33 YEARS OLD!! Thats why I’m doing this, if thats not motivation for me then something is terribly wrong with me! Time to step it up a notch!

I like the fact that my clothes are fitting alot better, I was dreading going up in pant size and adding another x to my shirts! Besides going up in clothes sizes, they are getting more expensive and I dont need to spend money right now!!

Another weekend has gone by and I feel great. Its been 3 weeks of workouts and I’m still going strong!!! So BRING on this week and lets bust some A$$!!!!
