Wasting time on the machines
Why is it the day that when you feel hyped up and ready to kill it in the gym, there’s always a bunch of people on the benches or weights just occupying space? It’s so damn frustrating but I ended up killing my chest and abs anyway. I’m so burnt out I think I’m a sleep like a baby tonite. What is it about people just wanting to talk more than they workout? It’s a gym not a bar or a club, you get in tear it up and get the hell out. Am I wrong for wanting to better myself instead talking to people? I don’t think so. Let me know what you all think.

Great point! Sounds like you go to a "nice" gym. The gym I go to is a lifter’s gym…not the newest equipment, so it seems to keep the people away that are there just for socializing. I was in Philly last week and went to a "nice" gym and found the place packed with long wait times. Decided to try to find a different gym the next day.

Well, on the bright side, it would have been worse had you waited until tomorrow to get chest in. Thats international bench press day.

the more driven we become
the more ridiculous lazy people become. and they will never understand us either unless they jump into our world of discipline

I guess you’re right. People that don’t do what we do will never understand what we have to and want to accomplish

I definately agree man. I’m only 14 but at my gym I go there wanting to feel ripped after it, instead I find myself waiting around for some guy to get off the bench instead of talking to his mate who is also taking up a bench. I end up sharing a bench with a mate so while one of us goes to get a weight the other one can watch it for me, because then there is always someone working on it and it stops the guys that don’t do anything from having it.
