Intense too late..Wish me luck

Well the competition is this weekend in GA. I messed up and let work and everything else get in the way of me trying to accomplish what I needed to WIN this competition. Now knowing that I am not going to win, I'm hoping to be able to even place. So I'm going to train train train and eat very little and drink even less water, hopefully I get some better results before the weekend. It's a shot in the dark but I know I can make something happen. Wish me luck folks.

On the way

It looks as if things are starting to get better for me. I have a competition on the 7th of April and I may just join the juggernaut competition coming up. For quite some time I have been and down with my workouts and my body has really been feeling it. Now, I have getting into the gym or doing some kind of workout at least 2x a day. In the mornings I do PT with my Soldiers, then from there I go to the gym and workout, then in the afternoon I do insanity with some friends. Today I did crossfit with some people and that was pretty intense also. So things are going well and I just want you all to know, once you get focised and goals that you want to achieve, then the only thing that can stop you, is you. When I think about how I can better help my familiy by winning some of these competitions, all it does is add fuel to the fire I have to win.

Motivation

I would have to say that my motivation has jumped up a little bit. I was feeling out of it for a little while up until the other day. I went in the gym not thinking about anything, just wanting to get a good workout in. Well I was finishing off on a machine and going to get some water and a fire fighting female walked by biting her bottom lip at me like she wanted to take a bite. It was funny to me because I know there were plenty of people there bigger than me but hey, it is what it is. So anyway, that made me feel pretty good. Just wanted to share that with you guys and gals. Have a healthy weekend.

Psyching yourself out

How many times do you get hyped up for something then start convincing yourself out of it?  Probably more than a few. My wife called me out on that the other day and I didn't even realize I was doing it until she brought it to my attention. I am entering my 2nd competition in April and I was making excuses why I may not be able to attend and all the training and dieting would have been wasted. So now that I'm back on my "I'm gonna make this competition my b%$ch" tip, I'm ready to tear some stuff up. I guess the message I'm trying to send is, stay motivated and not let insecurities change your mind. Go for it and go hard at it!!

Lost and Found

I was pretty disappointed and down after I busted my tail for this competition that was on the 3rd of this month that I couldn't go to.That killed my whole motivation and had me not wanting to workout or nothing. I been in the slumps for about a week and a half and everyone noticed my loss in weight because of the way my ACU's looked on me. That told me right then and there that I needed to stop feeling sorry for myself and get up and get back in the game. I realized that even though things don't go your way or how you expect them to go, it really doesn't matter as long as you achieve the level of fitness that you want your body to go. I was just about at that level, I was actually proud of the way I looked regardless. What I am saying to everyone that is reading this is, go for it all even if you'[re not going to compete, you'd be suprised at the levels you can take yourself when you really push it.

Wasting time on the machines

Why is it the day that when you feel hyped up and ready to kill it in the gym, there's always a bunch of people on the benches or weights just occupying space? It's so damn frustrating but I ended up killing my chest and abs anyway. I'm so burnt out I think I'm a sleep like a baby tonite. What is it about people just wanting to talk more than they workout? It's a gym not a bar or a club, you get in tear it up and get the hell out. Am I wrong for wanting to better myself instead talking to people? I don't think so. Let me know what you all think.

Can't get a break

So I been doing really well in the gym for the past few months up until it came time for me train to go to Iraq. Everything went down the drain. I mean I couldn't get to the gym in time and when I did make it I couldn't workout long enough to feel anything. So I decided to stop lifting until I made it to Iraq and got settled, that's not working to well either because I'm stuck in another country and can't a flight out until the weather clears. Man can I get a break or what? Well hopefully I'll be good to go in the ext day or so, key word hopefully.
