Today I felt like the weirdo one at the gym

I’m blessed with a pretty decent gym at my workplace. 90% of the people go there to claim a discount in their insurance premiums, so their motivation is not like a 100%. All you hear are the TV mumblings and the amicable conversations at the treadmill (if you can do cardio and small-talk at the same time, I say something’s wrong with your workout).  I really felt out of place today, grunting  and punching the leg-press machine. And I put these faces, oh my God, like I am in pain! Everybody else is cruising through their workout and here I am struggling…I am weird!!

I wish my work place had a gym! More reason to go to work!

Nah, I felt stupid when I first started going to my gym too because I was the only woman in the "guy’s" section. Today I was in the "little girl’s room" as I call it and I was getting some weird looks doing a power kind of lift with dumbbells. I can now just let it roll of my back. It used to keep me from working out as hard as I needed too. Don’t let the slackers get ya down!!!
