This is how long my membership has lasted LOL. I went back to the gym asking for a better price. They wouldn’t yield, neither would I, so we parted and I’ll continue to workout home. I felt I was being ripped of when a friend told me of this other person who got a much better deal. I didn’t mention this particular person when bargaining, maybe I should have. Anyway, they lost a customer and it’s not like their gym is crowded.

Gym membership costs are anything but written in stone. I know people that with the same gym benefits pay half what others pay. I signed up yesterday at the local gym, but I think I got a lame deal, so I am canceling today because I’m in the trial period. I have to admit these guys are good at selling, and I am a hothead.
Today I did my first squats with the bar. Damm they’re not easy, the bar tends to swing everywhere!! Next time I’ll swallow up my ego and load a smaller weight. Well, assuming I keep my membership
Dit a great leg workout, I’m sore!

HIIT is the real deal, no bullsh**, no fooling around. Nothing gives me a sweat like this grinder. I loooove the resting periods and by the end of the workout I fear the incoming torments of the next high-intensity period. Once finished, I feel I have accomplished something.
I went to the gym with a somewhat lazy attitude. That prevented me from burning the targeted calories, but I learned something valuable. I was on the verge of stopping after 30min. I was spilling my guts, and I considered two compromising options: (1) Stop, take a rest, and come back for the next 15min (2) take it down a notch and finish the 15min. I went with option (2) and this was the wise choice. I ended up doing 95% of my targeted calories, but more importantly, next time I won’t be as tempted to stop. If I stop after 30min, next workout I will stop after 30min because I know myself. And who knows if I will come back once I cool down?
Eliptical machine: 2min @ 185 heart-beats/min followed by 2min @ 145 hb/m, for 45min = 525Cal (
)
I cool down at the recumbent bike: 2min @ 165watt followed by 2min @ 105wat, for 20min = 210Cal
I aim for a minimum of 750Cal total.

Can you believe one or more bastar** in the gym are helping themselves to my shampoo bottle? I don’t have a locker so I leave my stuff in the open. Not like I’m leaving golden necklaces, but a lowly $3.00 shampoo bottle that some cheap assho** won’t buy for himself. I could fill the bottle with some sh** and have a laugh, I’m reaaaally tempted to do it

Feels good to recover from an injury, my adductor has recovered 90%. Still afraid of doing cardio and leg workout, but in the meantime I can go on with the rest. I’ve learned the lesson and I won’t play hero again. My gains will advance slower, but so be it. I won’t risk another injury just for trying to push myself too hard.

So this is what happened to me. I overdid some hip adductions and now I’m screwed up for a few days. What bothers me is that I never noticed I was going overboard with the exercise. It was tough, yes, but that is how it is supposed to be. I usually get cues from my body when I feel a sudden and sharp pain, that’s the signal to immediately stop.
I’ll be more careful now, but it really bothers me that I don’t have a measure of what is reasonable effort and what is not.

I’m blessed with a pretty decent gym at my workplace. 90% of the people go there to claim a discount in their insurance premiums, so their motivation is not like a 100%. All you hear are the TV mumblings and the amicable conversations at the treadmill (if you can do cardio and small-talk at the same time, I say something’s wrong with your workout). I really felt out of place today, grunting and punching the leg-press machine. And I put these faces, oh my God, like I am in pain! Everybody else is cruising through their workout and here I am struggling…I am weird!!

It had been more than one month since my last cardio session. That migh be the reason why it felt so good
1hour of moderate elliptical machine; Average heart rate: 150; Calories burnt: 837
Still struggling to gain lean mass, I’m stuck at 124lb. The good thing is I lift heavier than one month ago, so I may be trading muscle for fat. I’m going to give it a try and do the static curls (16 of them) with the 25lb dumbbells, see how many I kill. No fear of pain!!!

Hahaha, yes, about 16 slices. The trick is, I removed all the white fat from the slices. I ended up throwing about 80% of the slice (you do just that when you only keep the white of the eggs, anyway). It was DELICIOUS and very high in protein!
