Legs feel good now. Only occasional "twinges" here and there from the uneven terrain. Also, body fat is down. Put on a lot of miles exploring, learning more about the area I hunt.
Well rested and looking forward to making gains on the iron!

Ended up having time to go through my cycle once more since we pulled out traps the other day. So I took today to test the legs for the first time in about a month. So far so ggod. Started with squats. Only went up to 225. Then on to the leg press where I only went up to 445. I then did hack squats and kept them moderate also. Ham/glute ext. were next. And then finished up with leg curls.
So far no unusual pain or discomfort. But we will see what the next couple days bring. None the less, it sure did feel good to work the legs again! I`m sure not working my legs has contributed to losing 5 pounds. COUNTER PRODUCTIVE!!
I leave on sunday morning for my long anticipated northwoods adventure. Lots of hunting, trapping and exploring planned. Just getting away for up to 2 weeks will be relaxing.

Finished up another bench program today. Did not finish strong, but I attribute that to neglecting all other aspects of training. After running the trapline, there is not much energy left to hit the weights. I am ok with that though. I needed a break from the gym anyways. I am probably done with the gym now until after deer hunting is done. Hopefully will have plenty of fresh protien when done!
Legs have been slowly improving. I think I will be ready to work them by december. Have not worked them for about 3 weeks now. A nasty side affect to resting legs is I feel lazy towards the rest of my workouts.
Next blog entry will not be until later this month. Stay strong everyone!

Moving along well on the bench press program. Just 4 more workouts left. @reps at 320 was challenging, but 1 rep at 330 seemed effortless by comparison.
Still resting my legs. Losing patience though.

Been having some pain around my knees lately. Not in the joints. but the muscle around them. To be specific, over and under them. On tuesday I deadlifted and had pain in the quads for the first time from deadlifting. The pain went away and had no doms on wednesday. Today was leg day. Could not get through my first exercise (squats) without weakness and what felt like doms setting in during the workout. I had to abort the workout completely and go home.
I hope this is just fatigue and not the onset of some kind of injury. I have not had any trouble with any other body parts. I will not deadlift and will only do light leg work on leg day for a few weeks. The 12 hour shifts will also be ending friday. Being on my feet that long might be a contributing factor. Time will tell.

Cant do Arnold presses any more because of tendonitis in my elbows. I am trying a different way to do them. Instead of rotating 180 degrees during the press, I am only rotating 90 degrees. So far, so good.

Had to re-start bench program. Got to the gym friday and realized I forgot my key. Knew that would happen sooner or later! So I went home and did shoulders. Took the weekend off and got going again monday.
My winter workout is planned for me already. Stopped by a local farmer for trapping permission, and the first thing he asked me is if I wanted to make wood! I will have firewood coming out my ears! Thats ok. With the price of heating fuel, I have one less expence to worry about this winter. Could even sell some if need be.
Weight has been stuck around 195 for a while now. Time to review supplements.

Hopefully end up around 340 in 7 weeks from now. After this, I will not be doing much in the gym. Hunting and trapping will take priority till december. Thats ok, a good rest from the gym will be due by then. Trapping is a good workout in itself. Dont believe it? Tag along with a longline trapper for a day!
