I guess I need to take a few days off from training. Went to the gym yesterday.Got through my benching, but my necck was a distraction. Moved on to overhead presses and dumbell overhead presses and did ok. But next came rear delt raises which soon put an end to the workout.
So its off until I feel some major improvement. May try massage if need be.
Get this, I got this from sleeping! Just woke up with it one morning.

I`ve had a pain in the neck for the last couple weeks and now its getting to the point where it`s affecting my workouts. And everyday life for that matter. I woke up with this kink and it just has noy improved at all. Time for a massage or a visit to a chiropractor. It kept me from the gym yesterday. Gonna try to get there today.

Todays sets went like this.
295×10
315×8
335×6
355×4
375×2
Add more weight again next cycle!
Random rant; I hate the location of the vending machines at work. They are located between my work area and the restrooms. Walk by them everytime I have to go. Nothing I can do to change it, but I have to talk myself out of buying junk about 6 times a day.

Well, today was supposed to be workout #2 in the bench program. My truck is down from a blown brake line until next week and my daughters car would not start because it was -20F!
Oh well, biceps and abs got it at home today. Tomorrow will be chest and calves. Maybe some cardio too.
Last squat session went 285 x 10, 305 x 8, 325 x 6, 345 x 4, and 365 x 3. Will be adding weight next cycle! 405, here I come!!

Tested for 1rm on the bench yesterday. Did a 315 no problem So I thought I would have a good shot at 325. Yea, right! Was like trying to press a Kenworth! So I will split the difference and start the bench program on monday at 320. The program is flexible anyway.
Back day today. Had some kombucha on my way to the gym, as has become my regular habit. Had a great workout! A little more weight and reps today. Rack deads up to 410, barbell rows to 185, ect…I dont know why, but workouts are better after drinking this stuff preworkout. And its organic. No dangerous chemical concoction as are most commercial supplements. Best of all, you ca make this stuff at home. Very simple recipe.

I usually start leg day with squats. But I intended to do a 20 rep squat set. I did everythihg else first. Leg press, hack squat, leg ext., romanian deads, and leg curls. By this time, my lower back was very sore. I decided to give it a try anyway with the conviction that I would bail out if the back protested. I loaded the bar to only 225, considering I was sore and the legs were already fatigued. To my surprise, my back felt fine until I was done. I did some rest-pause, but completed the set with less difficulty than expected. Next time I try this, I will have to use more weight.

Well, just a few rambling thoughts here. Happy with squat progress lately. Gone up 10 pounds each week the last 2 weeks. Closing in on an unofficial goal of matching my old pb of 405 x 3 reps.
Weight is up a little! Will confirm with another weigh-in in a day or 2 before I post it.
I seem to be a little stronger if I drink some kombucha on my way to the gym. Why? Dont know for sure. But I will keep doing it!
Was up a little earlier today, so I got in and out of the gym with plenty of time to get a little more done around the house. Although I forgot my shorts and had to work out in my jeans. Not comfortable.
