Not satisfied with benching today. Did the reps and poundage as required in program. But with more difficulty than there should have been. A stinging pain started in my left shoulder yesterday, and it may be causing a distraction. I think the pain will go away. And all will be ok. I dont want to abort the program this close (3 more workouts) to the end. Although I have already met my end of summer goal, it`s only natural to want to complete a project of any nature.

Don’t ignore the pain if it continues, the last thing you want is to make a slight injury worse. It is frustrating when something like that happens, but its part of bodybuilding. We are putting a lot of stress on our bodies when we lift heavy weights, sometimes more than we realize. Can you point to a specific thing that started off the pain? If not it might just be the strain from all the heavy benching you’re doing. I hope you’re able to finish the program, since now that I’m doing it I know how enjoyable and rewarding it can be. Let me know how it works out.

So close to finishing, I sure hope that your shoulder pain doesn’t become an issue. You may want to take an extra day before your next lift just in case. Unfortunately, sometimes we don’t bounce back as quickly as we used to when we were kids (i.e. "39" - lol). I’m sure that you’ll still be able to finish the program and be happy with the final numbers! Keep up the great work.

There was pain during my shoulder workout wednesday. May not have warmed up porperly. I mat very well take that extra day. Declare it leg day instead. Another problem may have been hand placement. I used a different bar this time. May have thrown me off. Tuesday is another day!
