Sunday Night FTF Friday Update

HEY!!!

I am back from Croatia.  It was great.  I am happy to be home too.  At least I am not sweating from the moment I wake up…dang it was hot/humid there.

Well, it was a wash.  I am feeling the a bit down about not making any progress, but that is because it is Sunday night and I am SO not a night person. I have a slight headache from the wine/mineral water drink I had today.  I normally would not drink that, but I found myself in a social situation with accordians, lederhosen and lots of German speaking people and I got …nervous.  My German improves 10-fold if I have a little drink.  But now I have a headache, the Sunday night blues and the feeling my baby abs are now being reclusive and fluff-y.

But don’t let my poopy attitude get you down.  Tomorrow I will be up at 5am and happy again.  I love the sunrise…and this dumb headache will be gone.

So, my plan:
TT training and lots and lots of Intervals.  I get great results when I train like a track star.  I mean come on…have you EVER seen a track althete with a droopy butt?
Yes, I have to hit fitday again.  Vaca is over, Sista.  Time to get back in the saddle.

So, I am NOT weighing myself until Friday.  Sorry, I loathe the scale and I don’t want it to bum me out this week.

Let’s hit these last 2 or 3(?) weeks hard!  GO FTF!

FTF Update from Croatia

Hello de-Fluffers,

 

As I mentioned I am on vacation and “trying” (terrible word) to stay on track.  Let’s just say I am maintaining.  I wish I was making progress, but to be honest the only progress I have made is on my tan.  I vowed a couple of years ago that I wouldn’t subject myself or my family to a diet on vacation.  Been there done that and drove everyone nuts.

 

I am not sabotaging the work I have done, I am working out everyday and being active swimming and pedaling the paddle boat, so I am burning off the occasional treat.  And the tan helps.

 

I hope you are all kicking butt.  I will try to respond to your blogs, but if I don’t get to it until I get home, KNOW that I am thinking about you, sending you fitness, de-fluffing and happy vibes.  I can feel your penetrating gazes every time I even look towards a pizzeria.  And unfortunately they do not mix food here.  When you go to a pizza place, there is ONLY pizza and when you go to a fish place, there is ONLY fish.  And I am outnumbered in the pizza eating group.  Give me strength!  Did I mention pizza is my numero uno favorite food.  And it ain’t Dominos over here.

 

OK, Chicas, I shall return and I will have those improved abs for the rest of this challenge.

Hey Girlies,
I am going to be going to Croatia tomorrow, but I will update and I will be thinking of you all.  I just may not get to cheer you on until I hit the Internet cafe.

And just so you know and I am keeping it real, I had a cheat today..an unplanned cheat.  But I am back on track and I can still progress for this Friday’s update.  I have FINALLY learned after so many years of this, that I can slip and get back on track next meal and not go spinning off into some stupid binge.  So it is not true about them old dogs.

Fluff to Hotstuff Challenge Update

Happy Friday my FTF Teammates and anyone else who reads this.
I am very pleased with my first week.  Of course, that is generally the easy part, sticking with it is the challenge, but I know I can do it.  I have a great support system of beautiful women that are positive and about helping each other achieve our goals.  And that my friends, is the key to my success.

My goal for the 6 week challenge is Abs, Abs, Abs, baby.  So this is where I’m at:

Yes, there is still some fluff.  But it is getting there.  I would like to take this opportunity to vent a little.  It drives me nuts to see people post pics where they look great and then make some comment like "ewww, look how fat and gross I am?"  I mean come on!  Some people are working hard out there and those comments are such a downer.  That said, I know I am not fat, I would like to be leaner, I am not perfect by any means, but I am not in a bad place here.  And I have worked hard.  It can be done.  Consistency and support like this challenge as been my greatest help.

Stats:
weight: still 148 ( I am in the throws of TOM, so I expected this) I am usually 144. Will I ever hit the 130’s?
waist at bb: 29" same
waist 1" above bb: 28, same
waist 4" below bb: 34, 1 inch less that last week.  Now I really think this is impossible, given TOM, so I must be measuring wrong.  But I’ll take it…lol.

Although I don’t have any great number changes, my abs are coming in…if the lighting is right and you squint…so it is working.

Next week I will really see some changes.  I know it.  TOM gone and I am in the groove.

Friday Fluff Update on Monday:

Monday, June 9th, 2008

Ok, so I am slightly behind the group.  1 week and a couple of days to be exact.  But I can still get something accomplished in just under 5 weeks. 

Now what would that be?

My longer term goal is Booty Building, so I will have to settle for ab definition over this time frame.  It’s all going to be nutrition and some HIIT focus for me. 

Where I’m at:
Wt. 148

Waist at belly button: 29”

Waist 1” above bb: 28”

Waist 4” below: 35”

While my fellow Fluffers were being badasses and de-fluffing the past week, I was fluffing.  Most of the week was OK until Friday.  Then I busted out the red wine, pizza and chocolate chip cookies…hence the weight being up 4lbs. 

 I think I can dump that pretty quick, hopefully by Friday for my next update…although it is Tom week so I won’t go nuts if that doesn’t happen.

POA: (plan of action)

Fitday, Fitday, Fitday.  I MUST track my food.  This is my obstacle.  Training is no problem, it’s the food.
