What motivates a NATURAL PRO!?!
Just want to stress why I workout, what motivates me, my plans for the future, what I would like to accomplish in the Natural Bodybuilding world WNBF as for what I’ve been called, "The Youngest Natural Pro Bodybuilder in the WNBF organization in the USA."
It all started after High School, when I started lifting seriously, for me meaning Consistently going to the gym. Athletic background being a wrestler my last few years of High School as well as being a captain, due to my Leadership skills and work ethic. I brought that to the table once I focused on own physique and where I wanted to to be! So it was time to turn it up!
Going to a community college 30 min. away, weighing 140-145 in fall of 04′. I started working out at the college facilities which wasn’t the best but it sufficed, and in my eyes it was the start. Took a fitness class making me not only test myself against other classmates, also made you go cause now your paying for it to be a college course, and record my progress. I soon after made arrangements with the teach that I would print off my YMCA acct. showing the days that I went there, because I started working there, and plus the facility was leaps and bounds ahead of the schools. To which the teacher agreed. I then was working out recording my progress and I already had a lean fairly build 140-145lb. frame.
This picture was taken around this time:

Now with all of these things going on in my life of; school, work, and working out. I didn’t feel the need or urge if you will to, Go out and “Get Drunk or F^3& Up” all that energy that college kids use to find the next party or go to the bar, I was using in a productive manor and focused on Lifting! Little did I know by lifting, I opened a new can of worms because my metabolism was now at SUPER-SPEED!!! I HAD to eat every 2 hrs. I was hungry all the time. This was a constant I lifted usually by myself because nobody else was reliable enough to count on when I headed to the gym so I usually was flying solo. Again just goes to show you where my peers priorities are at. I went at it for a little less than a year, and thats when the rumors started FLYING. “Have you seen Godderz Have you seen Godderz.” I now successfully changed the freshman 15lbs of BEER fat, and reverted it into my Freshman 10 weighing around 155-160 now! But lets get this straight, I now look better have only gained about 10 pounds or so and I’m getting fingers pointed at me for “cheating” of course!!! Because I look 3x better than before due to the weight I’ve gained and my peers for High School have gotten 15lbs to the negative! Keep in mind I graduated with 54 people in my Senior class, so every body knew EVERYONE and what they were up to.
So now for some reason at 19yrs old April 23, I feel Obligated to prove to people that I haven’t taken anything to cheat!!! I did my research and found the NANBF a Bodybuilding Organization in the Midwest that polygraphs by a trained FBI agent and makes their athletes also take a urinalysis tests. This is the most tested and prestigious Organization that I found, and It Is!!! So I entered my first body building show The Best of the MidWest 2005 in Cedar Rapids, Ia entered into the Teen and Novice. I stepped on stage just to step back off a Winner in all the classes I entered!!! Won the teen, and my height class in the Novice and The OVERALL as a NOVICE. It was Crazy! And all the while quite interesting in the sense that the other competitors were very helpful in the sense of supportive of what they saw in me. The other competitors were the ones that supported and pushed me to continue in the sport. Keep in mind the main desire was to put the kibosh on the rumors of my physique!!! Now I’m looking forward to other competitions. Thats where it took off. I have other Contest results on my page please feel free to take a look!
Why I work out; its as easy as I Love the results. I don’t think I’m big headed, stuck up, or too cocky ;*) haha but I do like what I’ve accomplished. Not only do I others are happy or proud to of competed against me and watched me grow and start into Fitness Modeling even!!! Thats like playing against a Pro Athlete in H.S. and their now in the Pro’s you can say I competed against that guy!!! I also can’t get a better compliment than, "Hey Jessie you have the look I’m going for! if I could I would want to look like You!" Thats what its all about I know people look up to me, being NATURAL FOR LIFE is whats important to me its how I started and How I’m going to finish!
What motivates me; are ALL THE HATERS! Its their jobs their haters, my job is take my body to the limit, theirs is to hate on me, accuse me of cheating, and say I could do that if I wanted to. My line is, "What did you do last weekend?" Hater, "I went to the clubs and drank ohh man I can barely remember!!!! WHooahhOOO!!!" Me, "What separates me from them is my Friday Consists of working out and eating, my Saturday is working out and Eating, my Sunday is WORKING OUT AND EATING!!!" Consistency, I don’t taper off, you can’t if you expect big things. Then Do big THINGS!!!
My Plans for the Future; hopefully find a Company that sees what, "I’ve already accomplished as an asset to their company and see the potential in me to succeed." then continue making my parents, family, and friends proud. By being one of the Power Houses in the Natural bodybuilding world. When people think of Natural bodybuilding I want to be in the list of Names that comes to mind, or a household name!!!
In the WNBF I’d like to think I would fair well, again please keep in mind that I could compete at the Worlds competition at the end of the Year thats held in NYC, which is THE OLYMPIA STAGE FOR PROFESSIONAL NATURAL Bodybuilding! I just turned 22 yrs old, I think don’t quote me I could be wrong but I believe the next youngest is 25-26??? so either way thats atleast 3 more years before I’m their AGE!!! and as we all know a physique takes time to construct and Mature. I turned Pro through the NANBF for the WNBF in 2006, three weeks after I turned 20! I almost turned pro as a TEEN!!!
I would like to reach out and spread the word of my accomplishments and hopefully take on the role of an Icon or Spokesperson even for the WNBF.
Thats all for my little rant and rave now, comments are welcome, thank you for your time!
Please take a look at my Profile, let me know what you think, your opinions on the matter, or how I should act to try reaching to obtain any to all of the goals I have set for myself. Again thank you!

It’s ridiculously tough to manage my time in an ever-changing setting for the next three years, but I know that perseverance will pay off, I just gotta work my ass off! Reps for your awesome accomplishments. You SHOULD be proud! P.S. If you ever have any good tips on foods, cardio, or exercises that worked really well for you, and you’d like to share them, feel free to PM me. Thanks bro!

Keep up the good work. You look great. For all those people that think you’re on roids, they obviously don’t know what they are talking about. It is evident that you are all natural. I’m sure all of those people that are hating on you are just jealous. They also don’t realize how hard you have worked to get your body in the shape it is in. Good luck with everything.

Jessie, I love your attitude. You are a great role model to the young Generation Y group. You have goals…and you achieve them…which makes you the cream of the crop. So many people have goals and aspirations, but are not willing to invest the time, effort, pain to attain their goals. I am impressed by this young man named Jessie G….. You will be an ICON….no doubt. Much respect darling.
June 17, 2008 at 9:18 pm
Thank you for this blog! It’s so funny because just this weekend, I had a 4 day weekend (very rare for the Air Force) and everyone was asking me what I did and all I could say is " Worked out, ate, slept". Then all the comments about how I was boring and needed to get out came…. It made me feel like total crap and I was wondering if I was actually a boring person or if I was doing the right thing. You are right though, I can walk around proud instead of unconfident
so thanks!
June 18, 2008 at 12:31 am
Awesome! So glad you didn’t get too bogged down by the haters — and that you proved how strong willed you are … great job and keep up the fantastic work!
jessica
June 18, 2008 at 4:49 am
Congrats on all of your accomplishments man. You have a bright future, and all the accolades should come if you keep up your hard work mentality. After reading your blog, it makes me feel like I need to work a lot harder than I have in order to achieve my goals.
June 18, 2008 at 7:15 am
You have a great outlook on life with a bright future ahead of you. Aim high and keep pushing! I used to be one of those haters, now i train hard and look up to people like you. Maybe one day il join on that main stage. We have a magazine over here called ‘mens health’, my intention is to get on the front cover and show the world my work. A few more years and alot more work and i may just get to where you are now. Thanks mate, you really put more focus into my head!
June 18, 2008 at 3:32 pm

June 21, 2008 at 12:06 pm
Good to see you have your priorities in order and are focusing on your goals/plans for the future! I wish I could maintain the focus you have …Good luck in reaching your aspirations!
June 21, 2008 at 7:53 pm

June 24, 2008 at 8:04 am
Now all you need is the perfect response to the next time somebody insinuates that you’re on the gear. Just smile and say "Thanks for the compliment."
I mean it’s not like we’re that interested in the opinions of individual with chronic poor diets and decisions are we?

July 14, 2008 at 7:51 am
Hey Jessie…que pasa? Well, the new season of BB just started and we got it up here in Canada. It seems like you and that "140-year-old" weren’t getting along, though from her voice that reminds me of Rizzo from Grease mixed with Christopher Walken, I understand why.
So here I am on this site of yours, reading all the comments that virtually praise you. It reminds me of some Oprah segment where the audience is jumping up and down crying for Opie.
I was wondering what your thoughts on bodybuilding actually were. I know you want to be ripped and possibly attract everyone that passes by you, but what are the health risks and benefits?
I’m not the skinniest nor fattest person in the world and I’ve been getting into better shape, though still have "a ways to go". The problem in my eyes is just the "extra love" around the midsection, though I wonder if having some "extra love" is necessary in case of an emergency.
When I look at those in bodybuilding, it looks like many have problems later in life. Your Governor himself had bypass surgery. Do you feel that being too muscular could have a strain on your heart and other organs?
Not judgements or "hating" here (seems like in the article you wrote, many were jealous), just curiosity. Thanks for reading, Jessie.
Sincerely,
John, 21, Canada

Hey bro great blog.I am humbled because you are younger than me but you defintly inspire me .I am going to fight and hopefully compete with you someday.Oh yeah I am routing for you on big brother.Take home the million bro.
July 21, 2008 at 6:46 am
Jessie, I really have grown to appreciate you on Big Brother 10 and am rooting for you to GO ALL THE WAY! I am a lot older than you, but you are a true inspiration to people of all ages. I turned 60 in February, and I have been an avid runner for 40 years. I’ve always wanted to get into body building, but I haven’t been able to really get disciplined in it as I have in running. I appreciate the fact that you don’t drink and want to be NATURAL FOR LIFE. You have every right to be proud of your accomplishments, and I appreciate the credit you give to God in blessing your life and efforts. As Jason Fegyak says agove: ":Take home the million, bro." You deserve it! Winning the POV and removing yourself from the block the first week was awesome, and you have been a fantastic HOH in week 2. I would love to meet you in person some day.

Pastor Dave Reynolds

Sorry to hear about what happened on Big Brother. I find that you have great bodybuilding potential and have very good foundations. How big body wise are you thinking of getting? Has growing 230lbs or huge crossed your mind at all with your kind of genetics? Just curious what your thoughts are about that. I know your goal up until now has been Natural Pro. Ditto to what everyone else said. I had very similar experiences in college. I gained 25 pounds of muscle in my first 2 years of college and the rumors started flying. A few injuries later I was just another one of the guys you could tell worked out. Use it while you have it and take it to the limits cause you got it and you got it good!
May 25, 2009 at 9:21 pm
Hey Jessie
I’m not quite sure if this is going to reach you but its worth a shot. I just thought i would give you a heads up. I joined a dating site a while ago… anyways my point is there is this guy from Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada who is using your picture for his profile pic. His name is RENSLIP91. BTW you are super gorgeous!!
June 2, 2009 at 1:54 am
Hey Jessie,
I hope that you don’t take this as a negative critism or a judgement of you, because that is truly not my intention. First, I wish to say that I think that you are an inspiration to those who want to better their lives in many ways. Second, I am male, over 40 and have been consitantly working out for over 20 years, without taking steroids, nor do I drink/smoke/consume drugs; and, while my physique is not quite as defined as yours, I have been asked by a few if I am a bodybuilder. Now, for the constructive critique, if you will. In your bio, some of your statements lead me to believe that you have done the very thing that you want others’ not to do: judge. Also, please edit your words more, if you have done any editing at all. It would be very helpful for you to edit your grammar/sentence structure. STAY NATURAL, HEALTHY IN MIND, BODY, SPIRIT!
August 3, 2009 at 7:59 am

September 30, 2009 at 11:43 pm
you are very good looking and it’s amazing how you stick to your goals and accomplish them. but i have to say you freak me out. while watching you on big brother i could not shake the feeling that you have no soul and live for your looks. you seem like a psychopathic person. you seem like an empty shell with nothing inside, no substance. its funny cause you have such a nice face but there’s nothing inside. your results are amazing though.
January 30, 2010 at 8:26 pm
Jessie -
I know your busy and probably wont ever see this but I just wanted you to know that you inspired me. I am 36 and have always had a desire to have a muscular body, to one day look like you. I just never got off my ass to do it. I kept seeing you on TV and in muscle mags and I was like , man, I WANT THAT. Then I found out your natural, so i felt like I COULD DO IT. I got off my ass 6 months ago and started working out, now you cant get me out of the gym and people are telling me, "DAMN you look like your working out" I just want to say thanks for the INSPIRATION. IM DOING IT MAN, and I LOVE IT. I dont know if Ill ever look as perfect as you man, but Im going for it. BEST OF LUCK ALWAYS, Ill be a fan of your for life.
January 30, 2010 at 8:29 pm
P.S. I hope that when people talk crap about you , that you never take it personally, I just dont think they get your humor or personality. I totally get it and think your a funny guy and seem like YOU DO have a heart too. PEOPLE STOP JUDGING SOMEONE FOR SOMETHING A SHOW EDITED THEN TO LOOK LIKE. This dude is just a human like all of us, give him a break. Love ya bro.
