I have been very good about keeping a regular workout schedule, but over the weekend pulled something in my back. I missed 1 day and worked out the next, but it is still sore, so I have missed the rest of the week so far. Fell like shit about it but probably is a good idea to take a break and get it better so I dont so more damage to it…..

Well thanksgiving has come and gone and I am glad. I am very proud of myself this thanksgiving. Most of my family looked at me wierd becasue I brought some of my own food to eat. I did eat some turkey, but brought brown rice and steamed veggies to have. I stayed away from everything on the table except a little coleslaw that my grandma makes special just for me, so I had to have a little so I didnt upset her. I was even able to pass on the pumpkin Pie. All said and done on sunday I had lost a few pounds. I have refouced my diet the last week or so and saw some great changes. I was good before but a little cheat here and there, but have been clean for a week and i tell you what a difference. Hope everyones holiday was safe, please feel free to leave a post

Thought I would give this another shot. I like writing in there but never get any responses so I will try once again. Everything is going well, about 5 weeks back into routine and seeing moderate change. Seeing veins poping out more and seeing some gains. Weight is going up slowly but shurly. Any thoughs or ANYTHING please post..thanks

I have been starting to write more posts in hopes of getting someone to have any words for me. I am in my 2nd week of being able to lift after a back injury, but will take anyones advice. I am a 3rd shift worker and hvae a few benifits to that. First I am the boss and I work at a Universtity and get a hour for my lunch break. Since I have 2 kidsw and a wife who is a full time student it was getting hard to get my work out in at home so started using my lunch to get them in. the nice thing is i can use the schools gym at no cost, and it is closed at night so I get it all to myself which is great,. i can get in twice the workout in half the time with no one around to have to wait for or get in the way. I am trying to get my diet in check but it is hard for me because of my life schedule. I never know when I will sleep or if I will get more than 4 hours when I do. I know it is important to get my rest but sometimes it just doesnt go that way. I fight througn it and get my workouts in and go on with my night. I hope someone will write a post as of all them I have written I have had like 2 comments, so please andy words of wisdom or encouragment would be great. I have lost 6 pds so far and sat betweek 170 and 175 or so. Wanna get body fat down and show some abs as I never have, but will keep plugging away. Thanks

I have been training regularly 5 days a week when about a 3 weeks ago was squating and hurt my back, badly enugh I had to crawl out of gym. Come to find out i sliped L4 and L5 in my back. Doc told me no lifting for a a while, well I lasted about 3 weeks and had to get back to it. He also said I had degerative disk disease and I should not run anymore as it puts to much stress on my back. Am very upset about this as I was going to be doing my first 5k on thanksgiving and a mini triatalon in the fall, and was suggested not to do either. Well out of pure anger am hitting the weights hard and hope to be able to do it anyways. Wish me the best and anyone who has anything positive to say let me know as I am not very happy that I cant do them now…

It had been a while since I have posted anything on here, but I do check it every day. Been working out very regulary for a while but have become somewhat bored with it so have decided to add something. I have been running 6 miles a week for the last few month on topm of lifting. I will do my first 5k in a few months and in the spring am aiming to compete in my first triathalon. Any words of encourgement would be helpful as it will be my first.

Seeing my stomach finally start to get smaller. Have been loosing body fat just that one trouble area. Adjusting my lifting routine to shock body a bit and hope to get over small plateau.
