So, I went one month without alcohol. Hooray!
Then I went to watch one of my city’s roller derby teams in a bout. Unfortunately, they lost, but it was AWESOME to see a bout. It was my first one. The team manager talked to me about joining. I’m really considering it. My only hang-up is that I’m afraid that if I break or twist something it will really set me back in my lifting. But, it would be great, enjoyable cardio for me. Plus, a way for me to let my aggression out.
There was an afterparty at a close bar with some of the bands I like. I decided to drink, but that I would only have vodka and that I would pair it with water and NO FLUFF. I ordered a shot of Absolut and a water. I figured that I would get a buzz after two. I drank five shots. You would think I would be drunk from that, but I wasn’t! After a month? What the heck?!? I should consider this a good thing perhaps….I don’t know. It was probably my first time drinking tons of water along with alcohol.
I can’t drink til at least after May 1st (when I graduate) because I’m working on this research proposal and I don’t want anything to slip me up. Wish me luck!
ps-I’m listening to the Zombies. I love them!!!

To everyone that encouraged me in my last blog, Thank you. I am still bummed, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to ever give up. Even if my body never changes, I still want to be healthy. I have been weight training for a few years now (three?), so no….I’m not new at this…and that is why I’m upset that I don’t have more changes.
I have one more week of this low-cal diet I’m doing, and then I’m going to add more protein and cardio in. Gosh, I hate cardio.
I want to eat fish but I just hate cooked fish cause it usually tastes soo……fishy. Any suggestions?

How come I have to work my butt off and eat PERFECTLY and no one would be able to even TELL by looking at me!?!? This sucks. I’m so annoyed at people who have perfect bodies and don’t do HALF the work I do. It’s BS!! I’m too embarrassed to even wear shorts and I work my legs out all the time. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Down 2 more pounds!!
I have a new scale that I can enter in my information; age, height, fitness level and it tells me my weight, my bf%, my muscle %, my water weight and how many calories I should be consuming a day. It’s pretty rad. I hope it is accurate, because according to what it says, I have lost bodyfat and kept muscle. Wooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!
I worked extra hard on my legs today.
Then I ran a couple laps, walked a couple laps
and then did 20 minutes on this new cycling machine/video game like machine-fun!

Strict. *may lose a little muscle* but hopefully not. 3 weeks.
Oats and an orange
apple
chicken breast, quinoa, zuchinni
celery and natty almond butter
chicken breast, zuchinni, salad
mixed berries
LOTS of water
This is just for 3 weeks, so don’t yell at me for not getting enough protein. I just feel the need to lose a good 10 lbs and I’m pretty sure this will do it.

and just because I’m not drinking alcohol doesn’t give me a right to slack on diet. Or exercise. I should be working harder.
That way I can see better results.

Day 5. No alcohol. WooT!
It’s harder than I thought. That sounds bad. I didn’t realize how much I’ve been drinking. And drinking for me leads to: Eating junk, not working out as much and hanging out with characters I normally wouldn’t. *cough* Ahem.
So……..I’ve been trying to run lately. I suck at it. HARD CORE.
Today I did my legs. I’m doing a new; low weight, high rep thing. It sounds like a bad idea, I know. But, I’ve been lifting heavy on my legs so long and they are still chubbers. Tosca Rena said in Oxygen mag if you have chubby knees to maybe try lower weights, so that is what I’m doing. A little ‘xperimentin’.
So, today I did;
3 sets of 20 walking lunges with 5lb dumbbells
4 sets of 15 stiff legged deadlifts with 15lb kettlebells
3 sets of 12 Smith machine front squats at 65lbs(including the bar)
4 sets of 20 leg lifts (no weight)
3 sets of hip reflexor machine at 50lbs on each leg
What do you think, people? Does this sound terrible???
