10/5/07 Intake and Expenditure

Friday, October 5th, 2007

I had another good day today!  It was leg day at the gym, and I increased a lot of my exercises to 100+ lbs, and my back extensions to 145!  okay, i know that seems like a bag of feathers to a lot of you on here, but it’s serious progress for me!  Needless to say, gravity class will be a challenge tomorrow with all these wonderfully sore muscles!

Now, for my intake:

7:30 am

  • Muscle Milk

8:40 am — Gym

  • 25 min cardio
  • 40 min training:  abs, lower back, legs

10:30 am

  • 4 organic egg whites
  • 2 pieces organic whole grain toast
  • organic string cheese
  • herbal iced tea

11:00 am

  • black coffee

12:00 pm

  • Pure Protein Bar
  • H20

2:00 pm

  • Kashi Honey Almond Flaxseed granola bar
  • spicey soy and flax seed tortilla chips
  • H20

3:00 pm

  • Kashi crackers
  • unsalted pretzels
  • sunflower butter
  • H20

6:30 pm

  • 1/2 diet coke (only 4 left from the party now)

7:00 pm

  • 2 slices organic whole grain bread
  • sunflower burger
  • nayonnaise (yep, nayonnaise)
  • 1/2 pickle
  • alphabet potatoes (fun little alternative to fries!)
  • H20

I’m sure I’ll have a little something more this evening… some fruit or something.  I’m actually considering having another Muscle Milk.  I’m not sure, though, if that would be too much.  Still working on the H20, but I’ve already had 1.5L today, so any more will be more than I’ve had the past two days!  Yay me!

I’ll probably have an apple in another hour or two, and I’ve got to keep drinking water throughout the evening; I haven’t drank even 1.5 L yet, as I did yesterday.  Overall, though, I’m quite happy with my intake and workout today.  Yay me!

10/2/07 Intake and Expenditure

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007

I’m embarrassed to put this up here today.  I almost passed on writing this blog and then thought ‘no, i need to hold myself accountable’.  The day started off good…. brought a lunch pail to school, too!  But as you’ll see, my dinner was non-existent.  I literally *forgot* about dinner.  I was so consumed in my school work that before I knew it, it was 11:00 pm and almost time for bed.  I’m wishing now I had a blender, cuz it would have been fast and good to have a smoothie before bed.  But here was my day:

7:15 am

  • muscle milk

8:15 am–Gym

  • 20 min cardio
  • 40 min training:  abs and lower back, chest, shoulders

9:45 am

  • 4 organic egg whites with organic string cheese
  • 3 pieces organic whole grain toast
  • herbal iced tea

11:00 am

  • black coffee

1:00 pm

  • cottage cheese, 1 TBSP flax seeds, Kashi Go Lean cereal
  • H20

2:30 pm

  • unsalted pretzels
  • H20

4:00 pm

  • Pure Protein bar
  • H20

6:30 pm

  • 2 pieces organic whole grain toast
  • sunflower butter
  • H20
  • multivitamin, mega B-complex

11:30 pm (realizing I forgot dinner, I made something quick)

  • organic cheese
  • Kashi crackers
  • grapes

I’ve had some suggestions to drink two muscle milks a day.  I’m thinking of doing this on the days I go to the gym.  What do you think?

9/29/07 Intake and Expenditure

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

7:00 am

  • black coffee

8:30 am

  • muscle milk

10:00 am - 12:00 pm

  • Hard core abs class (1/2 hour)
  • 25 min cardio
  • Gravity class  (45 min)

12:15 pm

  • 4 organic egg whites with organic string cheese
  • 2 pieces organic whole grain toast
  • organic apple

2:00 pm

  • multivitamin and mega B-complex
  • black coffee
  • Pure Protein Bar

I’m getting very tired and feel the need for a nap coming on.

3:00 pm

  • black coffee
  • Kashi Peanut Peanut Butter granola bar

hmmm…. i’m realizing i’ve had like, no water yet today!

5:00 pm (okay, i napped for about an hour)

  • 2 glasses H20
  • unsalted pretzels and hummus

7:30 pm

  • Organic salad (baby spinach, grape tomatoes, orange and yellow bell peppers, Eating Right blueberry pomegranate dressing)
  • Jumbo Smart Dog with organic whole wheat bun, slice of veggie cheese, and nayonnaise

9:00 pm

  • grapes
  • glass of H20

and that’s it for today!  Probably not enough intake for the results I’d like to be seeing, but this has been pretty typical for me lately (sometimes a little less, too).

I *REALLY* need to get more water!!!

I’ve been on BB for awhile…

Friday, September 28th, 2007

but i’m really just getting started with my bodyspace page.  I activated it quite some time ago, but never got around to using it.  I don’t know what made me come back, but now that I have, I know I won’t be leaving anytime soon.  I am finding more motivation here than anywhere else!  It’s wonderful to watch all the hard work everyone is doing and how much it pays off.

My main thing right now is that I *really* have to pay attention (again) to my intake.  I think I might be restricting, but I won’t know until I start logging everything again.  I will use this space to do so.  Please feel free to offer tips/suggestions/etc. to the intakes I post.

I’m looking forward to meeting others with similar goals, esp those who have made a successful recovery from an ED!

much luv,

*jes*
