so, i’m not so happy w/my progress photos this month, which is real discouraging. i don’t think i look muscular; all i see is fat and jiggle wiggle. i don’t think i’ve made much progress at all from last month, which surprises me b/c i’ve increased my weights, decreased the amount of cardio i’m doing, rearranged my diet, etc etc.
whatever.
i’m super discouraged right now…

Sooo, I am proud to say that on top of working on a custom order of 900 yds handspun/handdyed yarn, researching for two upcoming presentations and a paper, getting my CV together, and amidst the application process for my community practicum I have been eating WELL! AND my workouts have rocked. I’m def on the tired side, but that’s to be expected. I’ve switched around my meals a bit, and have been drinking Muscle Milk mid-day and eating some oatmeal before the gym instead. It seems to be working really well thus far. I will get on top of writing out my exact intakes again, but it might not be until things slow down a bit. i am one busy girl right now.
oh, and my husband comes in to visit this weekend! SO excited am i! (for those of you who don’t know, we’re living apart b/c i’m doing my doc studies and he’s got a tenure track position in Reno, NV).
anywho! i’m very tired tonight and MUST get some good rest.
will write again soon!

zoot-a-zooot! midterms are officially over Meaning it’s time to get back on track with the diet. Have to eat dinner again.
I’m sitting here eating some oatmeal with protein powder and will go to the gym in a little bit. It’s going to feel GREAT to sweat off the stress from this week!

Agh! midterm week is here and i have been slacking with my blogging here. but just to give you all a run-down of this week so far– workouts have been good, except today i did the same leg work with the same amount of weights as last week, but i’m not sore at all. i don’t like that!!!! grrrrr…
eating has been going well, overall…. more good days than bad. but i’ve been crashing in the late afternoons (i’m guessing it’s a stress thing right now), and my dinners have been little snacks here and there. everything’s good and clean, but prob not enough this week. this is what happens to me when i’m stressed…. i unintentionally restrict.
and the H20 has been an ongoing issue. there were a couple of days i drank the entire 2.5L, but otherwise, nice try ;P
i’ll be around more next week once this week is done and over with!

I’m probably going to have some fruit in a little bit. Sucked again on the H20 today. I need a new plan with this, or something, b/c filling my 2.5 L bottle daily is just not working for some reason. argh.

Whoops! another forgotten blog entry… it was an okay day yesterday. Could have been better. The H20 intake sucked. So, I didn’t reach my week-goal of 2.5 L, which really bums me out. I’m not going to stop working on it, though.

Well, today was not as great as my intake has been over the past several days. I woke up super late this morning (9:30), so I didn’t get to the gym. If I don’t get there before 9:00 during the week, I’m not getting there. That’s just how it is with me. And I’m noticing a trend… when I don’t get to the gym, my intake suffers. But, here’s what I ate today:
10:00 am
- organic oatmeal, cinnamon, raisins, Veg Boost protein powder
11:00 am
1:00 pm
3:00 pm
- 16 oz soy mocha w/half the amount chocolate as a regular one
- bite-size piece of dark chocolate (OMG–I have not eaten chocolate in MONTHS!)

- organic grapes
7:00 pm
- 2 slices organic whole grain toast
- soynut butter
9:00 pm
I drank water throughout the day… probably got about a liter’s worth in. not good!!!! only a couple more days before I want to be back up to 2.5 L … but, I have been peeing clear at the end of the day, so I know I’m doing ‘okay’ with that!

Whoops! I forgot to post yesterday! Well, yesterday was a rest day, and my intake was pretty average compared to what it’s been like over the past few days… nothing spectacular.

So, I’ve already had over 1.5L of H20 and will still be working on it throughout the evening until I go to bed. I’m ready to go to the gym tomorrow! The bootie is only slightly sore anymore… it’s time to hurt again!!!
