Getting a little discouraged
I’m starting to get a little discouraged as I sit her at work extremely uncomfortable because my shirt is snug. Shouldn’t the opposite be happening? Shouldn’t my clothes be fitting better? I’ve been on the PFB for a month now and in the beginning my tops were fitting better but now it seems everything is tight again. My pants have gotten a lot tighter, which is very discouraging. I see so many people on the team making progress and dropping sizes, it’s discouraging that I’m not. I’ve been doing really well on the meal plan too. I have eaten a little more PB than I should have some days and I’m hoping that isn’t why I’m not seeing progress. I can’t stand being uncomfortable in my clothes. I signed up for the plan because of the progress other team members have made and because they’ve been losing fat/weight/sizes. Can anyone who’s on the PFB tell me their experience and what changes their body went through? I’m on week 5 workout and I’ve been on the meal plan for six weeks.

Have you e-mailed Steve to let him know your concerns. He can alter the program to your needs if they aren’t working for you. I do know that eating too much peanut butter can hinder results somewhat not tremendously though to the extreme of your clothes feeling really tight. Are you following the meal plan to a T and also getting in a least a gallon of water a day. I would love to try to help if I can. I know what it is like to get discouraged. I hope this helps some!

Hang in there Jersey. There is nothing more frustrating than busting it daily and not seeing results. I went through a phase where I felt I was eating great and working hard and literally no change for almost 6 weeks in weight. In fact, I think I posted on it on this board just like you did. However, out of nowhere on week 6 I dropped 10 lbs out of nowhere. This was really weird how nothing for so long and than bam a huge change. This despite my consistency. All I can say is be patient and the body is freaking weird how it responds!

Hey Jersey… I know what your feeling… I lost like 6 pounds in 5 weeks.. and I’ve been kind of the same ever since. I’m on week 10 now. My body compsition has changed visually a little… but I haven’t been on the diet to a T since I had a ton going on I drank and eat. But these last three weeks I’m going to do it to a T and see what happens. Whatever you did with the PB forget about it and just do it to a T now… maybe even up your cardio 10 min a day? Steve said it was ok for me.. hit him up and see what he thinks. Stay on track though!

Thanks guys, appreciate your responses. I hope I start seeing some changes soon. I can tell a slight change in my body but not as much as I had hoped by now. I’m going to continue on the plan and hopefully the fat will start to come off. Sweetpeach- I haven’t e-mailed him yet. I’ve been assuming my pants are tight in my butt/thigh area from squats and was hoping once the fat started to come off my pants would get looser. I started the workout for week 5 on Monday so I’ll give it until the end of week 6 before I e-mail Steve. My diet has been great aside from the PB. The diet is so low fat that I find myself craving it. I go to make the protein pudding and end up eating extra PB. My weekends have been good too but most of the time I don’t get all of my meals in or I’ll eat something off plan, but if I do that I make sure it’s clean/healthy & low carb. I drink at least a gallon of water a day.

Sweetpeach took the words right out of my mouth. I don’t work with Steve, but I’m sure he’d be happy to work with you on tweaking the plan or giving you a heads up on what to expect with the current one he has you on.
Also, expect some weight gain as your body adjusts to a new way of eating during the first month and then you’ll see weight coming off provided you’re sticking to the diet AND exercise religiously.

Dont get discouraged. Not every diet or plan is for everyone. Also, 6 weeks is really not that long to burn bodyfat and keep it off. Also, that is not very long to establish good body composition. Just my opinion and experience. What type of fee is he charging you for this? I ask as maybe you might need to change your or try something different altogether.

Thanks ShanBL =) I haven’t missed a workout. Well, I took 1/2 a week off due to a pinched nerve but repeated the whole week the following week. This week and next the plan calls for six days at the gym and an extra day of cardio. I’ll give it to the end of next week before I e-mail Steve.

dallasfan - the plan is very budget friendly and it has worked for many people, that’s why I’m doing it. Maybe I just need to be a little more patient. It has only been a few weeks, like you said…

Jersey31 I didn’t get my metabolism really jacked up untl about 10 weeks. 4 me I have 2 really watch PB it packs weight on me like no other! Try cutting it out completely ! for 2 weeks . If you r cooking with olive oil You will get your healthy fats there. Don’t be discouraged it takes time 2 convert your body over 2 a fat burner!

I guess patience really is key. Biceman, PB is only on the plan for high carb days, and on low carb days the only PB we get is if we have protein pudding. I guess I should try cutting that out =( It’s hard because carbs are low and fat is very low so I crave it, and the protein pudding is a nice treat and helps with the sweet tooth. I do cook in olive oil and I have a 1/2 tbsp of flax seed oil in the morning.

Jersey try toasting 100% whole wheat bread skim coat it with PB. (flavor w/out the volume.) Here’s another snack that will do the trick.Carbs/sweet/Protien w/out the fat or sugar in PB. Mix nonfat yougart raw old fashioned oats, and stevia 2 taste. can also substitute lowfat cottage cheese for yougart.and can add some blueberries in moderation. Satisfying and guilt free!

That all sounds good but none of it is on my meal plan. This may be a dumb question, but when you put the oats in the yogurt do you cook the oats first? Are you doing Steve’s diet or just his workout plan?

I hope not to confuse you! Nor am I in any way trying to "BUTT" in On Steve’s instructions. The Oats are raw. I am not on either plan ,I am just a guy that has invested tons of hours in nutritional panning, and metabolism manipulation. that likes 2 help if I can.Steve and I come from the same school of thought and principal. I honestly do not want 2 confuse you Just Give you an option.

Don’t worry you’re not confusing me. Totally appreciate the options, I’m just so afraid to make any changes to the plan I’m on. You do look like you know what you’re doing….can tell by looking at your progress pics =)

Hey… you kow im right there with you on this. No changes on the scale… 4 me:( but i havent exactly been super great with the diet. i thinkk that if we just keep going… it will all come togther. keep up the good work and keep up motivation:)

The scale can be really discouraging because of muscle weighing more than fat. I’m staying away from the it until I can see more of a change in my body. Thanks! Keep up the good work also!
