Day by day

Today I couldn’t be more excited. My first day back in the gym since July 2008…whoo hoo - it was a blast.

To add a cherry on top (since icing is way more fattening) I was able to “squeeze” back into my size 6 pants this morning.  J

Just knowing that I would be hitting the gym tonight made me even more determined to stick to good eating habits – big success in my world.

Finally, I understand that the long-term effects of eating healthy and getting exercise will far outweigh the many wars I have and will continue to have with junk food.  Oh, it tastes so good, but after I brush the crumbs off and think about what I just did…the guilt is something that gets me everytime.  I could easily have grabbed a piece of fruit or other healthier snack option been satiated and avoided the lingering pangs of guilt and feeling of defeat.

I have tried many fad diets and even lived for months on 200 calories a day of steamed broccoli and water…all in the name of being thin. 

Starving myself and in the end (drumroll) I was thin………….and miserable.  L

And (DUH!) that didn’t work for me because here I am again…battling the bulge.

I am ready to get off this roller coaster and back on solid ground – to be happier and healthier for life.

I have a long and bumpy road ahead of me, but it’s nothing I can’t handle.  Especially with my new mini bicep.  :)

My reality:                
     I will have issues with food for the rest of my life, however, I
can also be happy and confident and healthy (with a hot bod to boot) 

      One day at a time…..

    A hot body coupled with a FANTASTIC smile too!!!

    January kicked my butt! B’day dinner last weekend stalled my progress cold so now I have to kick it up a gear for February!
